What if the House of Wolves Raid dropped a Pike instead of a Sparrow?
Now that would be amazing. Highly unlikely that it'll happen, but a guardian can dream...
Can you imagine doing a patrol where you don't ever have to get off your vehicle?
Imagine killing Phogoth with nothing but a pike?
Arc burn for weekly/nightfall? YES PLEASE.

***Update (May 15, 2015): UM SO @MORECONSOLE on Twitter just tweeted a pike that functions like a Sparrow! Looks like we'll be getting one finally! (The pew pew pew capabilities are unconfirmed, though)

We have the best gunsmith and shipwright left alive and they can't use some duct tape and Velcro to strap guns on my jet ski? Wtf? I can bring busted ass ship parts and a busted ass ship and get an interplanetary, light speed drop ship but my dirt jet ski doesn't have any weapons? And why can't one of the perks for hand cannons involve drive bys? I can ride a motorcycle and bust caps at mufucas just fine right now but in the space magic future where they can resurrect me with a flying roomba, I can't even shoot a bitch until I park? Ridiculous.

That sparrow chase rumor from before TDB dropped could make its way here. The pike runs out of boost, so if you're running away from something in the raid and deplete your boost, it would make the chase more intense. Bungie might not include it, but lets have our fingers crossed that the next raid will be fantastic, with few or no glitches

I would -love- to have a pike instead of a sparrow, even if it had the weapons removed. I'd say get rid of the weapons and give it unlimited boost like the sparrows have instead, but definitely keep the strafing.

2 RepliesIt's not going to drop a pike because the new raid will be because of the pikes, in the archon priest strike when you get past the main door your ghost says "do you think they will mind if we take their pikes". They do mind, new raid confirmed.

They have so many other colors to cycle through with the Sparrow first. Then they'll switch to decals like the Tumbler. One color? Two colors? Nope, heres three! Then maybe when the games lifespan is nearly over they'll have armed Sparrows cuz why not at that point.

Wont happen because people would then exploit them for bosses and farming matts on every planet. They would have to make them no ride in the darkness zones to prevent people from trying to abuse them against the boss's.

That would be epic, sparrows are cool, but I have always been a fan of pikes since the original loot cave came out. How many people remember how easy it was to keep firing with a pike into the cave and never worry about going in to get ammo?
