Level 32 only w/ max Gjallarhorn!!!
I chuckle at all the calls for a 32 only w/ Gjallarhorn on the recruitment forum. There are plenty of 31's that are highly-skilled w/ good weapons out there ready to help. And on the Nightfall? Or Hard VoG? Seriously?
Two or three skilled 31's can easily fit into run on Hard Crota w/o much disruption. The only real NEED for a 32 is as the sword-bearer. No doubt overly-proud "purists" will take umbrage, but how about we-- as a community-- not exclude a lot of players looking for groups, eh?

The only thing you need to beat croats mcgoats is a 32 sword and four bodies that can shoot something at the big dickhead. Everything else is just bonus.

1 ReplyIm a valued player in my clan, and im the only one who doesnt have a gjallarhorn lol I do just fine with regular legendary rockets, making ghorn only players look like garbage. The only time i wish for a ghorn is when im doing a strike or vault of glass and really want to drop the boss as fast as possible (crota doesnt count, any rocket works if you dont suck). Beyond boss fights im all machine guns. Ratatatatata get rekt.

2 RepliesI mean.. Why do you need ice breaker also?? I never use my ice breaker in Crota's end, my maxed gally does just fine killing wizards, shriekers, death singer, ogres, thrall, Knights, swordbearer and boomers. I use my LDR 5001 and shoot the swordbearer through the rock if people can't shoot him with whatever they got. What do you need the ice breaker for?

For Crota hard I prefer all 32's because they can deal more and take more damage. However I don't think ghallerhorn is a necessary. Any rocket launcher with tracking is fine for crota, I personally use hunger.

Idk why people think the Ghorn is so necessary. I do just fine without using mine and before I got it. I feel it's more useful for taking down the swordbearer quicker. Not absolutely needed for Crota. If you have tracking rockets and a good sniper. Shoot one rocket and swap over while the rest of your team does the same. You don't need that much fire power

31s need to keep doing Crota normal and get the gear, that's what it's for.

I only ask for a 32 with ghorn when im running 3 31s that dont have good rockets and i barely do cuz 31s can take him down esayly

I'm fine with having 1 or 2 31s in the hard raid, but 31s dont do nearly as much damage as 32s.

But please understand the reason people do this is to limit the amount of time wasted. Some people are patient and tolerant, others are not. If you are 31 just dont join these PUGs. I am 32 with Hunger/Icebreaker/Ghorn and have cleared Hard Crota a couple of times (have all the guns, no neeeed to run it, but I do). I will join teams with 1 or 2 level 31's. Hell, we ran it with a 30 the other day. Sure he was dead most of the time but he was a nice guy and we carried him through for gear...

Love being judged by something that out of your control. I've ran hard mode 15 times (never completed) but got to crota each time, and I wasn't holding the team up, or I had to go (father). I haven't received the boots yet. However a few weeks a go we helped a friend through NM, he got cheat, gauntlets, and boots his first run. RNG love some and hate others

Iv jumped into VOG recently with 31s and they are complete Noobs. Buy vendor gear skip vog Normal and can't do hard. 32s stick with 32s for a reason. And I agree with your must have ghorn comment. Ghorn is 100% not necessary, people that post must have ghorn are scrubs. Good players don't post that

I dont see what the fuss is all about. I ran crota on hard with 3 31s and only one person in the group had a maxed out gally two other gallys wasnt maxed out i have a maxed unfriendly giant. One of the 31s never ran crota on hard before. We did just fine now the rng is crap the 31 hard crota noob got fang, abyss, and oversoul all on the same run. Go Figure!!!!!

I did Hard Crota last night with Radegast Fury follwed by a few Ice Breaker pops. No complaints from my team.

Those are the noobs who usually need to be carried from what I've seen. Can't count how many 32s I've come across who don't know what the hell they're doing or who have never beat crota on hard.

You don't need a Gjallarhorn, but you do need a good launcher. Saying otherwise makes you sound like an idiot. Matter of fact, you need good weapons period. 31 or 32 doesn't matter as long as you have good weapons. I laugh at people on here who make posts saying people won't let them join hard Crota and they have an unmaxed Dragon's Breath as their heavy. No thanks.

There is nothing wrong with 31s I've done it with 3 before you just have to be a bit more cautious and let them go first so they don't take much damage. Up until last week I hated doing Crota for my Titan since it was 31 it took a while to find a group to take me or I had to have friends help

Whoa. A forum gremlin who knows what "umbrage" means. What system are you on? I need smarter friends lol Not to mention that I'm a lowly peasant of a 31 with mere pitchforks and throwing rocks for heavy weapons, such as Hunger of Crota and Truth. No Ghallahorn for me.

1 ReplyEdited by A K: 2/24/2015 7:15:02 AMif it's for a Normal CE then there's no need for 32s, sure a lvl32 can take down Crota more easily, however a lvl31 can do that as well, just takes bit longer however if this is for the Hard CE, then i can understand, but before i start, let me state that i have never ran with people from LFG, not once. see, i perfectly agree that lvl31 player can hold himself in Hard CE, our group used to do the Hard with 31s until our guys got to 32s, so i see no problem with that However, that's all people I KNOW and HAVE BEEN PLAYING WITH for months now, so i know they their strengths as well as they know mine - we are a TEAM now, if it comes to LFG, there is no way for you to know how skilled a person is, so i guess that's why many ask for 32s only ps - the other day i went to LFG just to see whats happening and i saw a group of 3x lvl31s asking looking for 3x 32s for Hard CE, now THIS is ridiculous
