I'll say this...
Yes the kid learned a lesson, yes he was looking to "cheat" but coerced to extent.
Its Bungie job to banhammer cheaters not out job to condemn this kid for this action.
He was preyed upon. ( to an extent) That as a whole is just a disgusting taste no matter the form. I sincerely hope for the adult that did this he is not far into adulthood and will learn a bigger lesson. This is as revolting as it is childish. I would hope he fixes his ways but he deserves his ps4 to be banned and appologize.
The kid should not have access to games online above his age. That's parental choice That may be harsh as millions do have access, but the young one needs to learn something... From his parents.

What Kermit did went way overboard, and that he is massive asshole, but the kid is still at fault here. For starters he shouldn't be on twitch ifs hes 11, nor should he be playing M rated games, there are age restrictions on them for a reson. And why soul he hand his account over to a random on the Internet? He was never threatened into handing his account over, he did so on his free will. I don't care that he's 11, at maximum 8 years old your should figure out that doing things with completely unknown peple is most likely going to end badly. The blame is spread between the two, Kermit is a massive d-bag, and the kid for being so stupid, that's all there is too it. [spoiler]also it's exstreamly unluckily bungie or playstation will do anything, as Kermit dident break code of conduct with Sony, and I dought bungie cares about this[/spoiler]

2 RepliesSo let me ask this. Is it ok for me to pay someone to boost my account through cheats or exploits? The answer is no and doing so is bannable. Boosting and cheating have been put down in the past (lag switching crota) so why should bungie give this kid his stuff back? Sure what the guy did was low and wrong but if he actually cheated on his account then the kid would be banned anyway. So both are in the wrong here. The kid for trusting personal information with a stranger in order to cheat in destiny and the guy for playing a naive child. The kid should not receive his stuff back just because he was dumb. That being said the guy kermit should have some form of punishment. If people still think thats too "harsh" of an opinion how would you feel if the roles were reversed and it happened to an adult? You would probably say that the man should not receive special treatment and not trust strangers.

16 RepliesThe kid falsified his information to make a Twitch account because he's only 11, which is fraud. They have age restrictions because of things like this. Then he instantly trusted a complete stranger because he wanted to exploit, and bragged that he was going to show his Twitch viewers it happening. THEN immediately after giving a complete stranger full access he left and ignored the screen. Then after all this happened he was on Twitch telling people his real full name, linking his Facebook profile and giving out his age. Blame everyone you want, but he was breaking the rules to play in the street and got hit, then right after ran out and played in it some more. The fact that he hasn't been the subject of a news report yet is astoundingly lucky. Either he or his parents are complete idiots, and at the very least they need to monitor him.

Their term clearly indicate you shouldn't share your account and if you do, there is NOTHING they can do. Now, let's get to what they have actually done that they didn't have to do. They publicly called the guy out in a weekly update, called him names and warned the community about him. AND, they posted a video of him doing what he did. So what you say? Every person who plays destiny, regardless of console, now knows who this guy is. There will be people who think its funny, you can't get away from that. The majority of people WILL agree that he is a douche. He will get booted from groups and will be ridiculed by the normal population in this game. Bungies hands are tied, and they know this. He didn't break any rules. What they did is put this out to the public and thrown him to the wolves. We are the wolves. It's up to the community to deal with this punk because legally Bungies got nothing.
