Why so much hate on iron banner gear?
I don't understand all the controversy going on about "oh you got iron banner gear on you are a scrub" . For what reason makes them a "noob" or "not a real 32". Please explain to me .
Edit: its great to know some people agree with me ! They are not noobs for having iron banner armor it should be the complete opposite !
Edit: since this is a trending topic, why not look for other guardians to join you on your quest for iron banner gear !

5 RepliesI don't agree with calling banner gear users noobs, but I do acknowledge the reason behind it. When you look at things from a raiders prospective you see that iron banner gear is lacking greatly. Here's why: 1st bonus ammo perks Iron banner gear is tilled to favor pvp and in pvp it is largely about primaries thus the gear allows for more auto rifle ammo in reserve. In raids however it's all about gaining and carrying as much heavy and sniper ammo as possible so that when your team is focusing high value targets you are doing as much damage as possible so the raid gear has more heavy ammo in reserve. 2nd are the other perks Raid gear perks are designed specifically for that raid. Don't tell me that your increased grenade cool down from melee kills is as beneficial to you as my increased agility with the sword while we are doing the bridge because it's not. Tldr: banner gear != scrub Thinking banner gear is as good for raiding as raid gear is == scrub (10 points to the first guy to identify the programming language I have been studying)

5 Repliesthe 32 boots don't have the heavy ammo perk. This means you wont lose heavy after a death or orbit due to the glitch. seems someone running the 32 IB legs may be smarter than all those "real" 32's.

32 is 32. Grinding to get there through IB is nothing to sneeze at, and neither is raiding until you get there. Saying you're "not a real 32,31,12,29" = pre-teen whining. It's a video game, ladies and gentlemen. Just have fun and enjoy the grind any way you choose.

Gonna grind my balls off for the IB gear. The hunter raid armor looks hella stupid with the knife and skull and big GWAR looking piece off of the shoulder. Helm looks cool. Rest = ghey.

I know. Oh man grinding the raid to get a random drop takes ssoooo much more talent. This game takes no talent. Who cares how you get to lvl 32. The raids are as much or more of a joke as the Iron Banner. Get over yourselves. Why take pride in what you get or do in this game? Bungie and Activision obviously doesn't.

Personally the iron banner gear looks cooler than the raid gear so id wear it for sure, plus it makes use of my ascendant mats. Sadly I dismantled all mine because they were rank 30 gear and 31... But I'm curious has the nerf/ buff update taken effect yet? I haven't noticed any change but it could be my play style Of using the weapons they way they're built and should be handled if they were you know, real.

There is no "controversy". Anyone who would criticize you for your gear or say you are "not a real 32" is an ignorant child that is beneath contempt and not worthy of your attention or recognition. The same is true for the "If you use _____, you're a scrub" idiots. Kids these days just like to hear themselves bitch and moan, and if they don't have something valid to bitch and moan about, they create drama so they can bitch and moan. Don't get mad, have pity because these people are going to have a difficult life when they finally realize that they are not the precious little snowflakes their parents led them to believe they are.
