Whatever "Comet" is, I'm not paying $60 for it...
You've gotten me for Destiny, Dark Below, and HoW already, Bungie. If you think I'm overpaying for lackluster content again, you may want to really consider that price tag. $40 seems about right...
Edit 2/19: Since this post is seen by a lot of people as "complaining", I'll clarify the point of this post: Destiny has hardly any noteworthy competition right now for people's gaming time. It's one of the few games that offers semi-continuous refreshment. For the people on a budget (like myself - a broke college student), we can't go buy any old game that comes out. I read reviews and make my decision thereafter. The next-gen console collection sucks right now - a well-agreed-upon opinion. That being said, this will probably no longer be the case during the second half of this year as a lot of exciting titles are expected to be released. If Bungie thinks they can charge the price of a typical complete game-$60-they may be making a strategic mistake and lose out completely to the array of "complete" games that will be released. However, a $40 or less price tag may be perceived as a deal enough to entice some to renew their journey in Destiny while possibly simultaneously purchasing another title. That is all.

1 ReplyI'm really waiting to see how House of Wolves is since they pushed it back from what most of us thought would be a March release. If they added a bunch of stuff and refined the content/story for HoW and used the push back time to make the game a lot better on the PVE side in terms of finally giving us more lore/story in the actual game, then I may consider getting Comet or whatever the title happens to be. However if they pushed back HoW and we get no major content updates between now and April-June (2nd Q for the release) besides stupid Iron Banner over and over again, and HoW turns out to be just the vanilla 3 story missions you can play in an hour and a new raid and some pvp maps that will never come up in the rotation, than I'm going to sit and wait for reviews and someone else to buy it first. As it stands now I'm 50/50 on Comet, but leaning towards not getting it.

11 RepliesYou guys play over 200 hours and the game is not worth it? You guys must be out of your minds, it's pennies to the dollar when comparing to how many hours you put in. I would of paid 200 for this game, and I'm going to pre-order the pre-orders pre-order. Go play dying light or cod which you can finish both in a matter of 3 days. Stop your whining and get a job or don't play the game.

4 RepliesI hope they charge 69.99 for it and then 99.99 for the version that includes the 2 following expansions. Just to see some of you kids whine it's too expensive, then watch you buy it anyway and watch you come back after 200, 300, 500 hours and say there isn't enough content and the whole thing was a waste of money. And then you'll say you're done with Bungie and Destiny...until 2 comes out and you buy that one as well.

There's no price point yet. I hope they do this smart. I'm with you I'm not paying another sixty. By the time comet drops the amount of next gen only games will be amazing.

$35 MAX. they've already made us pay 20 dollars EACH for two mediocre packs that come with 3 missions, a couple strikes, and one raid... like come on bungie. for 20 we should be getting at least 5 missions and two raids... I don't want to repeat over and over any more!
