How do you counter Vex Mythoclast in Crucible?
Title says it all. I was playing some Crucible last night and ran into a fireteam of 3 or 4 Vex users. Needless to say, many tears were collected.

just slide into them with a shotgun. seems to kill me every time. i shoot them 7 or 8 times with my vex and they get extremely close to death, then they one shot me with a shotgun

Hawkmoon, Thorn, Last Word, SUROS Regime, MIDA, Rockets, Machine Guns. There's heaps of options. If you don't like any of these, grind VoG hard and get a Vex, no excuses then

1 Replyyes like others say. just quit or go to a different lobby. i am an owner of a mythoclast and i never look to it for crucible victory. this post made me think about it and i never equip the vex for reasons i cant explain. maybe for the shame and unfairness feeling or just the fact that the gun is not a mental option for me. curse the guardians who do use it but i gues theres no way to counter it.

Pretty much any gun. The only gun that gives me problems is when a team of 3 all have thorn and my team has no mics/skill of any kind (:

Suros, thorn, Vision of Confluence....but really....SHOTGUNS...shotguns are 1shot 1kill the vex isn't why are people having so much trouble with that....stay out of mig-long range battles make the guys with the vex come to you close range the vex is nothing to a shotgun.

You have to either our range it, or be close enough for a one shot (shotty or fusion rifle). Or, you can try and out gun it with the last word. Head to head, the only gun that can compete across more than one range is hawkmoon. Thorn is about the same.

Press select, hold Y. Or just take it for what it is. I get frustrated by it, but usually just stay far away and snipe them. Games like that I'll take less kills and less deaths. Better than running up and getting fried. What really makes me angry though is when I try my Vex I can't do any better than my Vanquisher.. People are killing me in 4-5 shots and I still need 8-10. It's not the gun, must just be me lol. It just has a unique handle to it and I don't take the time to learn it.
