Exotic Weapons Buff 2.0

Ok clearly many exotics need a buff right now. Why you asking? Simply because every weapons should be balanced. The initial buff was much needed but obviously not enough was done as many exotic weapons are still irrelevant. [b]Exotics that should stay the same IMO :[/b] - Gjallarhorn - Hawkmoon - Thorn - The Last Word - Suros - Plan C - Ice Breaker - Patience and Time - Vex Mythoclast - Thunderlord [b]Exotics that badly need a buff :[/b] - Necrochasm - No Land Beyond - The 4th Horseman - Super Good Advice [b]Exotics needing a slight buff :[/b] - Bad Juju - Red Death - Dragon Breath - Truth - Mida Multitool - Pocket Infinity - Hard Light - Monte Carlo - Invective - Universal Remote Do you agree? Disagree? Please let me know in the comments and how you would actually buff some of these weapons? EDIT : Wow, thanks guys for all the replies and inputs, keep them coming. Never thought the post would get so much love, cheers! EDIT² : There are some great ideas out there and if I have time I'll try to do a summary of the most popular ones. EDIT³ : Removed [b]Universal Remote[/b] and [b]Monte Carlo[/b] from the badly needing a buff section to slight buff section.

      • Gjallarhorn should be buffed. It needs to regen 1 rocket after each shot fired. It also needs to have ten times more Wolfpack rounds and the rocket needs to teleport from the chamber to the enemy. I don't know why you guys think it's the best gun in the game.

          • Some of the things for slight buff seems like a little too much. Pocket infinity is fine, MIDA is ok. But I will agree Hardlight needs AN ABILITY CHANGE. The final upgrade doesn't even make it qualify as an exotic

            I agree with CSTING12, Myhtoclast needs a s bit of a PVE buff, but otherwise this is a perfect list.

          • I think exotics should have a higher damage then legendary weapons Not up to 400 or anything ridiculous like that maybe an extra 20.

          • I would change TLW to the slight buff category. Though it's perfect the way it is in PvP it is very lacking in pve.

              • Only an idiot wouldn't think the vex needs a buff. The amount of ammo it holds even with field scout is laughable.

                • Most of the perks for the red death suck for pvp besides reload, unflinching and health perks. To make it better I would either introduce a perk that allows precision hits do bonous damage while ads or pulse rifles in general should have a higher precision multiplier. The red death should maintain a chance of killing in 2 burst if all the bullets hit the head. This would give it a chance to compete with the exotic hand cannons and vex.

                  • They need to make necrochasm have a changeable burn like murmur to make it more unique. It needs buffed really bad.

                  • Hard light doesn't need much, either a a slight damage buff, or make it Max rate of fire and 10% (4) more shots in the magazine, with another extra two or 3 being added on top if you use field scout. After that I'd take another look, possibly do something with the hard light perk its self which is a bit, meh!

                      I've sort of felt that just because it's an exotic doesn't necessarily mean it's supposed to be an amazing weapon that shreds all in its wake. The no land beyond proved that. It's purely a novelty weapon that should make you feel like an absolute turd for being killed by it in the crucible. Others are exotic for their cosmetics, i.e. Red death, hard light. Just because there are legendaries that shit on them doesn't mean they need a buff. IMO they're all pretty balanced. (Except necrochasm, it's fcking terrible).

                      • Please take a look at Necrochasm, I unlocked it yesterday and its having a hard time taking down some normal enemies on a level 26-Strike. I went through a whole strike and even half of the boss until I switched to my 331 Hardlight and noticed it was preforming much better.

                      • I don't think truth needs a buff, necessarily. The gun wrecks house in pvp (especially on big maps holy shit free kills) and I think the only reason anybody would want it to be buffed is to make it more comparable to gjallarhorn in pve. Realistically I think Gjallarhorn needs a pve nerf more than Truth needs a pve buff. Also invective is -blam!-ing obnoxious in crucible and does not need to be made any more so.

                          • I have most of these, SGA still kicks like a mule with highest stability possible, damage doesn't quite justify that recoil, I got other LMG that are way more powerful and more stable than auto-rifles Pocket Infinity, don't use it much, they changed the reload speed to extended clip, ok, but why the damage reduction on follow up shots 2 and 3..... I like Monte Carl, Red Death, MIDA, Truth, and Hardlight. Not sure what you would change. What I'm curious abut is 4th horseman, I've found it to be useful, but there isn't anything truly exotic, it's stable, full auto, final round, return to sender grants bonus ammo to magazine, plus max ammo capacity right off the bat......it works, has crippling reload speed but has speed reload perk. What can be modified or added?

                              • Dragon's Breath either needs a faster velocity or tracking. I think they should give it tracking because both of the other exotic launchers have tracking as well.
