You do realize that he is only allowed to say what they will let him say ... if he could I'm sure he would let us know what was going on in great detail ...but if you've been around bungie for very long you would know they are very secretive about what's going on in game and only release info when they have too :) I wouldn't mind seeing some actual updates instead of profiling cod scrubs YouTube channels but you get what you get some weeks hopefully next week it will be actually something other then fluff

Edited by MrVilliams: 1/29/2015 5:38:19 PMI agree to some extent, and I have been around Bungie for a while. I'm not naive enough to expect him to address every community gripe, or go over board on info he divulges. All I ask is acknowledgement (at the very least), of issues that have been prevalent since the get go. All we get is propaganda tripe, which only serves to further inflame the issue.

Tbh as others have said, if he is being paid to represent a multi million pound company in a positive light the last thing he can do is claim any kind of liability via stating there are issues with their product. The PR, see propaganda, dept would not be pleased if their work is undone with the whims oh one person attempting to score favour with a mere hundred or thousand customers on a forum. Liability would explode to every game and tech news site immediately. Like others have said, it's the higher ups who decided the avenue the game took in the first place, with it being a shadow of their promises of earlier times, and ultimately the paths it will take in the future and present. Unless the upper management is the same then the direction of the company should be the same.
Obviously people can change, in theory.

I do however appreciate destiny cut their game down and polished it as opposed to releasing a large POS like unity.
its hard to find fault in principle with what you're saying. But, "Deej" is supposed to be link between the community and the developer... Obviously, as I've stated previously, I don't expect him to be a de-facto agony aunt for Destiny gamers around the world, what I do expect, is basic recognition and/or updates, with regards to ongoing issues the consumers are experiencing with the current game (not necessarily responding to to wish-lists of what should be added) As you can probably tell by my responses, it is something that really annoys me. At the moment Deej is just a spin doctor for Bungie, which is fine, just dont mask it with some community care BS.

Edited by Random Verbs: 1/29/2015 6:27:10 PMYeah... I was bitterly annoyed with bungie when I played the game and purchased based on their previous developments. But as many have said and I will repeat, I will never buy a game on release where the press is on lock down until day 0.
have there been any games that had press lock down and got rave reviews?
As for Deej, I just try and picture what I could do in his position. Frankly budgie's higher ups are invisible to those outside the company, but they DO have power, all we can do is try to figure out their plans based on what their public facers do. If Deej is just spinning shite with no content, and communities get ignored even though he can and does speak at times, the main writer for the game leaves and when it's released its writing is shot to bits, promises made by PR are not met one can only come to the conclusion that the core of bungie is toxic. I mean the chances of all these separate departments of a large company being shit is low as hell, they dont govern each other, so the core governing them must be more likely. This doesn't mean the end for bungie of old or future, but it means things need to change, so change can occur. Age old saying of something like, can't expect different results from the same thing unless your nuts. TL;DR Not sure where I'm going with all this, but I think my point is that unless we get news, likely from other sites, of the upper tiers of bungie have moved around, left or got fired, to expect the same shit, because radical changes of a company don't occur from the middle management. Thats what I believe at least based on what I've seen occur. added tldr and spelling word auto correct mistakes.

I would like for him to address some if the issues too but no matter what he does hes going to get flamed lol I'd be hiding in the corner of my cushy bungie office curled up in a ball sucking my thumb rocking back and forth if I was him at this point :D
