I've been lucky enough to drop GHorn and hard light! I will buy things from xur just to try them, but they mostly become expensive exotic shards! Worth the play though! And beam cause I don't get the chance to raid as people won't take people who haven't done it before I've got to lvl 31 through grinding to get vangaurd marks!

I'm a combination of both. Anything I haven't obtained from rng, I'll buy from Xur if he offers it. I will expand my exotic collection any way I can.

Do you earn strange coins? If you do "earn" them, you can lead to think that you do earn thing form Xür. it's all up to belief.

Earner for Ghorn. Xurner for ice breaker. It was kinda disappointing buying it from xur. I was hoping to pull it as a reward.

Imagine it is a post apocalyptic wasteland, envision Mad Max, Book of Eli, 28 days/months, whatever your apocalyptic vision is... You need weapons either by scavaging or by trading. Does it really matter how? The end result is the baddies go bye bye. I bought Ice Breaker and got lucky with Ghorn. Whatever it takes, get some and kill the big bad. Save the universe.

I'm a guardian. I get my equipment anyway I can whether its xur raids or Bounty's. As long as I have great gear to better help my fireteam why should it matter how I got it?

Love how people earn it from RNG since nightfall is high RNG to help people get exotic without nightfall then you would be waiting on xur every week like the rest of the community who has bad luck that's my two cents enjoy it I don't need them

I feel that I've "earned" the coins I have, and I "earned" the Bounty Exotic's because I know what I had to do to get them. Drops are so very random by design, the last two weeks the Weekly Nightfall has dropped 14 shards for me....
