32s in Crucible
If you are a 32 in the crucible I have some questions for you. Why would you wear raid gear in the crucible? Do you need to reload faster while the over souls out in blind watch? NO YOU -blam!-ING DONT CAUSE THERE IS NO OVERSOUL IN PVP
In my opinion the highest level you should see is a 31 in Crucible. Simply because crotas raid armor is for PVE and NOT PVP

My point is that there is way better legendary gear for PVP, you can have a lot of intellect discipline and strength and perks that actually help you on all pieces rather than wearing CE raid gear that helps you only to an extent in PVP
I'm not saying you can't be good wearing the raid armor in crucible, I'm saying why wear it when there is level 31 gear for the crucible...

3 RepliesNo, but I do want to carry more ammo for heavy weapons, increase my sniper rifle reload, carry more ammo for my assault rifle and sniper rifle and reduce my melee cool down with a grenade hit, the raid specific perks are added bonuses you dumb shit.

I really need to get some crucible pieces...just have achlyophage and a handcannon/sniper chestpiece.

We wear it to show status a majority of us worked hard for it, why not show it off? We rely on skill and weapons more than perks of armor. I would rather be 32 than have max intellect.

Its the only gear I have. I dismantled everything else once I got my full raid gear minus exotics.

Having carry more of this ammo perk, or reload this type weapon faster, is great, but it isn't pivotal. I do just fine in PvP without them. With vault space being as terrible at is, I don't keep armor around just for PvP. I'm also too lazy, beyond selecting a helm based on how I want to play (3rd man for BD, Symbiote for Gunslinger, or Knucklehead cause I may be in ADS a lot) to switch my armor around for what I consider minimal gain.

Have you ever heard the term 'Fashion Souls?' A play on the name of 'Dark Souls' and 'Demons Souls.' Refers to people wearing gear for the sake of appearances over practicality. People like to show off what they have earned. Pretty natural. Of course, that's assuming they didn't just dismantle worse gear so they only have level 32 gear, or are mostly a PvE player and just don't care enough to change.

1 ReplyBetween my exotic armors, my VoG raid gear I keep for sentimental reasons and My CE raid gear, I'm carrying a lot of stuff. Unless the armor has perks that will apply to the guns I like to use, I don't care. Also, I'm kinda lazy.

I'm a "32" but I prefer to wear vog armor on my hunter while in crucible. Vog armor looks so much nicer imo lol

I'm not 32 (yet, rng bah) but I would be wearing my raid armour as I only use crucible for my exotic bounty or general crucible bounty's levelling weapons. Also I play the game however the hell I want so don't be telling me what to wear to when to wear it.

Because there is no "PVP gear" there is just gear, the extra abilities on the raid gear does not take away anything from the gear or make it ineffective for crucible. If there was gear that made people more effective in pvp im sure everyone would wear it but right now the raid gear and any other gear is about the same and its just about the perk roll because they all have INT DISC STR so it deosnt matter if i wear level 31 30 or 32 gear. I have it i like it im going to wear it until they give us actual pvp gear.

Op gets it. I use some random vangaurd gloves for faster reload speeds and dance machines for strafing.

Because pvp sucks. People like me only play pvp to complete exotic bounties. So no point in changing anything if people are just camping say void kills. Pvp is easy anyway. Gear doesn't change the outcome.

I wear my raid gear in PvP because my discipline, strength, and intellect are all balanced. But that's my set of raid armor. Their are multiple sets for Titans and hunters. Not sure about warlocks

5 RepliesI guess the simple answer would be since raid gear has the SAME stats and perks as vendor gear but EXTRA raid specific ones why would I need to switch back to vendor gear for pvp? If they have the same stats and perks with extra's for the raid there is no need to switch back to level 31 gear and be a scrub like you.
