If you are a 32 in the crucible I have some questions for you. Why would you wear raid gear in the crucible? Do you need to reload faster while the over souls out in blind watch? NO YOU -blam!-ING DONT CAUSE THERE IS NO OVERSOUL IN PVP
In my opinion the highest level you should see is a 31 in Crucible. Simply because crotas raid armor is for PVE and NOT PVP
BUMP IF YOU AGREE
My point is that there is way better legendary gear for PVP, you can have a lot of intellect discipline and strength and perks that actually help you on all pieces rather than wearing CE raid gear that helps you only to an extent in PVP
I'm not saying you can't be good wearing the raid armor in crucible, I'm saying why wear it when there is level 31 gear for the crucible...
I get where most of you are coming from, but I'm still waiting on a valid argument on this topic
Saying I'm stupid and that my k/d is low is irrelevant. Let's talk facts. Someone with real intellect step up and let's talk
I don't think I'm the best at anything on destiny, all I wanna know is why people wear PVE gear in PVP?

6 RepliesEdited by ProperJimmy: 1/29/2015 1:12:35 PMI'll use my level 32 hunter gunslinger crucible loadout as an example of why your theory is broken: Helmet - Aclyophage Symbiote exotic (discipline, best helm for gunslinger) Arms - Iron Banner gauntlets (intellect, discipline and auto rifle reload!) Chest - Raid chest (strength, discipline, Auto rifle & Fusion rifle ammo increase) Boots - Raid boots (intellect, heavy ammo increase) The fact that raid armours have raid related stats is irrelevant because those stats are extras on top of the same number of stats a piece of legendary non-raid gear will have. Legendary non-raid helm perks: 2 regular Raid helm: 2 regular + 1 raid specific Legendary non-raid gauntlet perks: 1 regular + 1 primary reload increase Raid gauntlet: 1 regular + 1 raid specific + 1 reload increase for all types of special weapons (some people use special more than primary so this is actually ideal for them) Legendary non-raid chest perks: 1 primary increase + 1 special increase Raid chest: 1 primary increase + 1 special increase + 1 raid specific Legendary non-raid boots perks: 1 primary ammo increase Raid boots: 1 heavy ammo increase (easily preferable for crucible) + 1 raid specific Raid gear also has higher stat rolls on strength, intellect and discipline than regular legendary gear. Think that about sums up why you should rethink :)

1 Reply.73 kd is trying to give out tips on how to be good at PVP. Lol

Why do you even care? You can't even go .500 in a game. And don't give me that I'm capturing points for the good of the team crap because going negative hurts wayyyyy more. On subject though you make a good point the abilities of 32 gear don't really help too much in crucible. Give me fast reload on gun I'm using, increase melee speed and replenish super or grenade energy and I'm good.

Edited by MachoMangos: 1/29/2015 10:16:27 PMIf you win in an argument about destiny PvP, it doesn't make you look any smarter, it makes you look like a bigger nerd

This is one of the stupidest arguments I have ever seen on the face of the Earth.
-
*facepalm* you need the gear to be 32...
-
Im a 32 I really don't care about any other piece of armor but my exotics and the perk of them. and since all exotics are upgraded as well as my raid armor I have no choice but to be 32
-
Edited by scuzzgolem: 1/29/2015 10:15:28 PMUh increased special weapon reload time, higher stats, carry more heavy weapon ammo, and with VoG chest pieces carry more special weapon ammo for all special Weapons. The PvE perks are extra perks that do not take up a slot that would otherwise be occupied by a normal perk. For instance, my crota gloves have increased special weapon reload, increased melee attack speed and reload speed with oversoul up. None of the vendor gear increases reload speed for special weapons. And before you say why not just get gloves for whatever primary you use, I change my weapon loadout for every map and use every type of primary so I am not carrying around different sets of.gloves for that purpose. Similarly, my crota boots have increased heavy weapon ammo capacity whereas you shitty vendor boots allow you to carry more ammo for a scout rifle or some equally useless shit.

I've seen lvl 12 get a 10 kill streak while a 31 and 32 got max 4 kill streak. Explain that

32 in Crucible sporting weapons you PVP scrubs will never touch.

Let's talk about the level advantage. This is the gayest post ever

Because I don't give a poop

People Wanna show off their new loot.

Fashion over function! I'm there to have fun, not because I'm delusional and think I'm some MLG. Also raid gear has all the same perks just addional raid ones. My raid gear gives me all my desired perks for pvp anyways. Increased melee speed, high disc and strength.
-
Cause it looks cool?
-
For titans the replenish melee energy is nice, the increased special weapon reload is nice for all (shotgun/fusion rifle users benefit from this) increased grenade throw distance etc... yea the over soul perk is useless but hey most of the regular legendaries don't really offer 3 fully useful abilities anyway. Increased ammo is about it.

3 RepliesI'm a -blam!-ing boss that's why. I want u to know true despair as I crush you like the insignificant twig you are

Because I want to

Why does it matter to you what other people use? In the iron banner, level 32 gives a boost to players by taking less damage from lower levels and higher dps to lower levels as well. I could understand if you were giving people a tip by saying that pvp gear is more beneficial in the crucible for grenade cooldowns, super charging quicker etc. but you don't really have a place to tell people what they should or should not use... In regular crucible, you can just laugh by having that advantage using that pvp armor over the PvE'ers that usually only do crucible for exotic bounties or weapon xp.

Edited by Jerhaw37: 1/29/2015 9:41:49 PMMy raid boots give me heavy ammo. My raid armor gives me sniper armor, my iron banner gloves give me AR reload speed, my exotic helmet gives me powerful perks for PvP. My titan is 32 and I do almost nothing but crucible on him. Your thread is stupid. Because whether I use iron banner gloves or raid gloves, I'm 32. And either way, one of my weapons is reloading faster? Please tell me what "PvP" gear would be superior for me? Cause I sure as hell don't see anything but lower stats and shitty ammo perks that are mostly irrelevant in crucible. Excluding the heavy ammo ammo one, which is on RAID gear.

7 RepliesI kill 32's in the crucible the same way I kill everyone else. Glow-hoe just makes them WAY more visible. Dummies.
-
I don't care about crucible enough to bother switching gear- Even if I had cared enough to keep a full extra set of gear just for crucible in the first place.
-
Give examples of better armor, or it's false
-
Yes for every reason you just mentioned I wear my raid armor in PVP, get over it you cry baby there is no written rule what players wear in PVP or PVE!!
-
Depending on if I'm striker or defender. The raid helmet does give you health picking up and orb. The lega give you extra heavy as well. Also I don't have other gear besides exotics to switch around on my main character.
-
I wear my Iron Banner gear for PVP.
