Now that I've got Nechrochasm... why is this gun an exotic? *EDIT2* House Of Wolves Raid Exotic Final Form pic!!
Honestly though, there is nothing special about it... nothing. You're wasting an exotic slot on a mediocre auto rifle, all you get it is a few firefly-ish explosions with an surprisingly unimpressive blast radius.
Just wanted to let you know you're not missing much, sadly. Hopefully you can try it out yourself and form your own opinion, but as I know my fellow Guardians, most of you just want it for collection purposes.
[b]Needs a buff ASAP[/b], 1 or 2 abilities that makes it somehow worth using. Vex is so much better than this, it looks and feels like a "one of a kind" gun. Man, what are we getting in House of Wolves? An exotic Cucumber Stick? #GoodGodBungie

I just got Necro too, it shouldnt even be a legendary at this point. It needs a bigger mag and much more impact to be viable.

lol this is the biggest reason why the hard raid is pointless. for Vog people played it on hard for the almighty mythoclast.

2 RepliesThe Necro is a beast on Thrall, really performs in Lanterns stage in CE, but that's all it's good for, one particular playstyle for low-mid>close range. Remove some RoF, add more impact or more stability, whatever, but Rangefinder really needs to be replaced with Focused Fire (like on Suros) and then we are heading in the right direction. Until this this weapon gets a buff to serve more purpose, i wouldn't lose sleep over the RNG gods right now.

I've been telling people this and doing so now. Even pre Mythoclast annihilated this weapon, post VM still performs better overall.

So we grind the latest and hardest raid in the game, just to get a mediocre cucumber stick that is mediocre at best ONLY in the raid.

4 RepliesI will tell you why. It because of the cry babies asking for nerfs everywhere so bungie nerfs them like pocket infinity l, vex ect and they take away what was exotic about them. Now with the dlc they have made pre nerffed garbage like no land beyond and dragon's breathe so people don't cry.

After using it normally and in the nightfall, it went straight to my vault along with other exotics I've collected but don't intend to use. It's nestled nicely between Universal Remote and No Land Beyond

Range is not good even with Rangefinder. Has a bad Impact/magazine size ratio. Requires CQB Ballistics & Fitted Stock to allow for good shot placement. Low impact fast ROF auto rifles suck in general IMO. They could make all of the current perks on Necrochasm active at once and it would still be just "OK". I'd rather use Bad Juju and that's saying A LOT.
