SWORD BEARERS ARE MASTER RACE!!!
If you have run sword and killed Crota on Hard Mode then you know what I mean. Others just don't understand the heart pounding, close to heart attack, stressed to the max, nerves going crazy skill it takes to be the sword bearer.
If you have run that sword then post below that you're in the MASTER RACE SWORD BEARER CLUB!!!

Some people seem to think all a sword bearer does is "jump on a rock and swing a sword". I felt I should make a list of some of the other sword bearer duties
1)help take down sword bearer
2) run down before sword drops to be there the millisecond sword ls available
3)grab sword and run through the maze of thralls, while also avoiding CROTA shots and boomers
4)perfectly jump up on rock without getting hit by thrall or seen by boomers or crota
5)jump up the second your amazing team sends the rockets out and you can see them almost hitting Crota
6)sprint like crazy and start swing
7)swing in that perfect millisecond that allows you to get the next 2 or 3 swings in before he gets up
8)escape before boomers shoot you or Crota whacks you and you die in one hit
9)magically land perfectly on the Rock and stay out of sight of all the one hit killers around you
10) run 4-8 again
11) make it back through the maze of thralls and boomers and thread into one of the doors that the boomers are currently shooting at because someone chose to use that door and its your only option.
12) do it all again... 2 more times

1 ReplyAnyone remember their first crota hard raid and doing the left strategy, and killing the wizard and crota enraging on low health and we were like, "oh shit wtf!!??" And our teammates would go, "fu[i]c[/i]k the oversoul we're so close, shoot crota!!!" And we slam crota as many times as possible with the oversoul in the background. So intense, cant forget it ^_^

New SwordBearer set up. Red Death: heals you instantly after each kill. Any Sniper with armor piercing rounds: so you can shoot the SwordBearer that hiding like a little bitch behind pillars. Hunger of Crota or any other rocket launcher: you don't need a gally just enough fire power to take care of that sword bearer.

When everyone else in your fireteam is doing what they're supposed too without messing up you are literally just jumping on a rock then hitting something with a sword that doesn't fight back until he dies. You can say the shooting rockets and killing boomers is easy all you want but the fact is most groups can't manage that properly... Only when the rest of the group can't handle the "easy" parts does holding the sword actually become a challenge.

Just did it clutch on my Titan. Our Hunter went lost his connection right after ogres and I stepped up and killed that Crotes. Felt amazing! Posted vid at original thread post.
