LOST ITEM: weapon disappeared from inventory
Yesterday (1/25) sometime between 9 and 11PM central time, I flew in to the tower to trade some items in/out of my vault. But first, I loaded up my character screen, and equipped another weapon in place of my fully leveled (331) Light of the Abyss. As I was equipping the other weapon, I got an error message about "connecting to destiny servers," my inventory screen temporarily froze, and icons for both weapons disappeared... after a couple seconds, the message went away and the equip operation completed. I put some things in the vault and switched characters.
I then quickly realized that my maxed Light of the Abyss was not in my inventory nor was it in my vault. I switched through all my characters and it is nowhere to be found. This weapon appears to have completely disappeared from my inventory due to some sort of server connectivity error. I do have another LotA that is un-leveled, but that maxed one represented a significant time investment given all of the Radiant mats needed to level it.
Bungie, how do I get my weapon back?

Man Bungie claims to not be responsible in returning or granting items. It sucks. I just realized I'm missing 2 hawk moons and an icebreaker. I believe one hawk moon was the old 300 max dmg and one was an updated 331. I just jumped back on to play house of wolves but looking to use the hawk moon and icebreaker only made me go on a mad forum search. Read about people retrieving their "lost" items and hopefully everyone does.

This morning tried to look for it again and now my sorus regime and 2nd ice breaker is gone. What the hell is going on with these vaults update gone wrong...all these grinding just to lose these things. This is unacceptable Bungie!

Edited by SIR_SHATINGTON: 3/29/2015 6:47:07 PMThe BS continues. In the last two weeks I have had my Thunderlord AND my Fatebringer disappear. My clanmate lost his Word of Crota. The Thunderlord I may have moved using the app, perhaps during a loading screen, although I really doubt it, but the Fatebringer I had just gotten from the Vault and it was at the Postmaster for only a few days before it disappeared. It seems the only way to ensure a weapon is safe is to keep it on a character.

Mine dismantled when I went to equip it, gone in a sec, like a green. Never got back

Would've been nice to hear back from Bungie, but wanted to update this post anyway. The LotA ended up back in my inventory a day or 2 after it originally went missing. Hope everyone else has as simple a fix as that. I can only guess that maybe it happened upon log-off/in as I usually quit the game out fully when I turn off my Xbox.
