MUST READ: Remove Phantom Gift on Word of Crota
I know a lot of you dearly love your new Word of Crota hand cannon you rightfully earned by killing Crota on Hard, but hear me out. THIS WEAPON IS BROKEN. The Word's unique perk, Phantom Gift (3 rapid head shots return 1 round to mag), is not only a mediocre perk at best but it is also broken by both Hive Disruptor (Increased damage to Majors) and the Explosive a Rounds perk. This a bug that Bungie saw coming due to the White Nail bug and made no effort to fix it preemptively.
I think the best solution would be to scrap the Phantom gift perk completely rather than rework the other 2 perks that break it.
Bump, like, or reply this post if you want your hard-earned handcannon to be the monster it should be.

Word of Crota is broken, let's make Bungie get rid of the broken perk on it that is bad even when it does work.

it would function similar to firefly, but would do less damage and have increased range in addition to a brief stagger animation when it connects on nearby enemies.

Also don't buy the hive disruptor easy as that.

Fully upgraded it without Hive Disruptor

Just give it firefly instead of phantom gift and basically make it the new Fatebringer but with void.

I agree it needs to at least be fixed. I don't know about the shrieker thing, as that's probably a better perk than the thrall explosion and the necro is meant to be the best weapon earned from the raid. I'm actually happier with the Word than I thought I would be. Its high fire rate helps make up for the lower damage/impact.

I enjoy WOC, and I'm not sure why you people complain so much.. Sure, some of it's perks don't all work well together, but it still puts down more dps on a single target then fate and it's the very best void primary available. I'll continue using it in all cases except for the abyss and arc nightfalls.

If they want to do a special perk, I do like the blast idea, but what about combining outlaw and the current perk... Kind of... What about outlaw with each precision kill in a row prior to fast reload adds that many rounds to the next magazine or reserve ammo. Still kind of phantom gift, but outlaw as well
