What console are you on? You can use the recruitment forums in here to find others for the raid or strikes, and also Destinylfg.net is a great site as well. I also heard of another that will group you in 100 based on console, play level, and geographic area.

Thanks but I'd rather play with real friends, not just randoms online. Ideally I'd like a better solo game though.

It's not meant to be a solo game. Anyways, I created a clan and I've made friends from this game and built an awesome group I love playing with, you could also try doing the same.
