Christ. This week's (I don't even want to consider this a hotfix) "hotfix" was two....TWO fixes to the CE raid. Nothing else.
Players have made countless threads on bugs that have existed ingame since the damn launch.
This is going to happen AGAIN with HoW. You're going to release the raid that can be entirely "cheesed" AGAIN. You're going to sit there and spend all of your time trying to fix something that apparently you guys can't even make halfway right in the first place.
There are far more things to this game than the raids and nerfing guns in PVP. Start fixing THOSE things first.
The entire raid can still "cheesed" after the first CE patch AND the most recent patch. Give. Up. Move on and start working on other things that affect the rest of the game.
This is showing a lack of respect towards players. Countless threads with thousands of replies and up votes and it's not even acknowledged. When are you going to start listening and make the game better for EVERYONE, not just those who raid.
This is so ridiculous. When are you all going to get your heads out of your asses.
Let me guess, next week's "hotfix" is going to be MORE patches for the raid only and other problems in the game are going to continue to be ignored.
Edit: most people wouldn't even cheese or try to find exploits or your poorly designed game if the RNG wasn't so ridiculous. There's no need for a massive buff in drops, but this is the exact reason why people choose to take that path. We spend enough time playing hundreds of hours trying to get a few things we want, but the game continues to hold them out against us.
So here's another edit since some people seem to be taking this the wrong way:
I do not mind that they're trying to fix the exploits. I could 10,000% care less. The objective of this thread was to try and get them to stop focusing so much on their raids, that people will CONTINUE to find ways to exploit. It's almost as if they're trying to have a war with the playerbase.
I want to see them actually make useful hotfixes for ALL the players. The last hotfix I've seen like that, that truly helped, was when they fixed decoding of engrams. After that, damn near everything has been useless.
I want to see the game get better overall. Not just one aspect of the game. They spend so much time trying to fix exploits of the raids they release, rather than paying any attention to the other things at hand.

3 RepliesAbsolutely agree. Nothing wrong with fixing the issues with the Raid, but do they have every developer working on that? How hard is it to have a team fixing other things at the same time?
-
The stupid thing is they keep doing " HOTFIX" on the raid but break the raid even more !!! And again keep ignoring the actual problems ! I love doing the raids but I was doing it last night with my team and we kept dying because stupid shit the chalice disappears out of no where ! Crota jumps down from the platform and -blam!-s us up lol ! Sword runner died when he jumps up and swings the sword in the description It says misadventure lol wtf bungie ?.... Btw this was at crota ! Not trying to "cheese" the bridge before anyone says anything.

But if someone gets something easier than me it's not FAIR and I'll come here to complain about it.

1 ReplyIf you don't raid, whats the point in playing Destiny. I can agree with some of what you said though.
-
I agree man, they need to cover every part of this game if they want it to really be something. #TryingToBecomeLegend

They should just label them what they are, Player Fixes. If they spent half as much time on fixing the glitches that cheat the player as they do trying to stop players from cheesing what they overlooked, they might actually have a better response from the community. Tally it up, how many cheese fixes versus actually glitch fixes that hinder the raider? I think you'll find that list heavily weighted toward the cheesier side.

Destiny is just a beta for the next one

2 RepliesIt is a little rough on players that Bungie doesn't seem to be listening to everyone's threads. But we only assume they are not listening to us because that don't respond to those threads and have yet to give any news on possible fixes being worked on. RNG is gonna be RNG, with only a small pool of legendary and exotics in this game the drop rate cannot match other games, as that would lead to an over population of them. Not that there aren't players that have most exotics, or just the ones they want at least. Even if this was the best game to come out of all time there are still gonna be people that look for alternate ways to fight bosses. As long as there seem to be other ways to fight a boss. I think Bungie should stop forcing the player with only one way to play through an encounter. I don't know if the HoW raid will be soloable as it will probably be completely different then CE. They may just reskin VoG and change some things as that is what I saw a lot of rant posts on CE. Though I'm sure it will be something new. The bug fixes is something I understand as a developer, they aren't as easy as smacking some code around and everything works better. The ammo fix is probably something wrong with data being transferred to the server for player activities and when it's returned some corruption happens that is affecting heavy ammo count. I have had the heavy glitch steal some to all of my ammo and I have also gone a entire day without seeing it. With the vault space it could be another issue with server space, I think someone posted this below. Adding even 20 more slots for each section of each players vault could be a massive change that could effect other things. Enemy health glitches and a few others probably are also data corruption with the server. We just kinda have to roll with it and hope that it gets taken care of in time. Or just move on to something else and wait to see if things are better later on.

While I understand the sentiment, I would be very surprised if the people that worked on Raid game mechanics were the same as the people working on bug-fixes, glitches, connection issues, and so on... You shouldn't think that Hotfixes (which are server/game side and do not need to go through Console Certification) in any way hinder or stop the deployment of general bug-fixes, game additions, updates or whatnot. There are different departments in a company of Bungie's size, each doing their own stuff. I understand why they would try and fix Raid exploits before deploying the new raid, but I do not agree on the way so many other bugs and glitches have gone unacknowledged and unsolved since Launch. But do not hate on the Raid-Fixers. Hate on the Bug-Fixers that do not seem to get going...
-
Sir, i feel the exact same way. This game has such potential. If they just fixed the real bugs and gave a sh*t about the playerbase.
-
13 RepliesOf course the only thing you care about is engrams lmao. The entire raid can't be cheesed anymore also, get your facts straight cry baby.
-
Bumpity bump bump bump It is horrid they do all they can to nerf us n hold us back for being creative but won't fix their junk glitches n shite. Especially when you think of vog and how long it has been out with all the problems it has. Kind of sad. Instead of them saying wow these players are smart to figure this out, they give us a big f u by patching that n not their own mistakes. Don't get me wrong I love to play destiny but this just isn't right

Edited by F4T4L1TYx208: 1/21/2015 3:19:15 PMBump. Exactly...why the heavy ammo bug still hasn't been fixed for example is beyond me. Bungie is too focused on controlling how people play this game rather than fixing what is actually broken with this game.
-
I like how people don't count fixing cheesing as part of making the game better
-
People will always cheese in games to be lazy. Not a matter of RNG. If there is a reward you can cheese to get, people will cheese. I rather them fix raid bugs so hard mode is actually hard mode for people who don't know how to play the raid without using exploits. I've cheesed Crota and I've played it legit and it's much more fun legit.
-
I agree. How about fix real glitches like the sword randomly disappearing after the swordbearer is killed? Or prevent Sword Knights from walking thru the barrier when summoning Crota ?
-
Bump. They have been pushing all other issues to the side, they could atleast tell us that the bug fixes are in the works.
-
3 RepliesStop focusing on the raids??? The raid is the main part of the game. Crota went from a few thousand clears to over a million because of a huge exploit. I applaud the fixes
-
3 RepliesThey are focusing on making the crota raid as fun as possible....this is their project and after today im sure that bungie will focus on other things. No job would have you abandon a project 50% of the way through.
-
2 Replies"Please stop, I want to cheese the raid. "
-
3 RepliesEh get over it it's been almost half a year since release. We should all be over the hype by now. This game is mediocre at best and nothing is going to drastically change. If you don't like it don't play it. If you do like it I'm truly jealous of your ability to be easily amused.
-
I think you're right. I like this thread.
-
I agree with you completely I've been screaming it since they started the first fix! Fix the Nat problems, fix the stupid error codes that send you to the start screen or to orbit. No they fix the raid, or guns, or loot caves. Its frustrating and ridiculous at the same time, and yet with everyone screaming the same thing we have no feedback from the company on what their plans are for the game
-
2 Repliesahahaha, we don't want peasant 31's cheesing the raids just like you, so yup you mad now hahaha
