2 shots from any range for any gun is rubbish and unfair , thorn users just sat in corners are crap and this gun needs a nerf asap. At least with shotguns and fusions range has an impact .
I"m a veteran game player so don"t waste your time with crappy comments , i know when a gun is OP so don"t try to tell me otherwise !!!!!
Sorry haven"t time to answer all !!!! Wasn"t expecting so many must have hit a nerve with thorn users
500+ msgs , wow wasn't expecting that . Deffo worth a look by bungie i think , lots of cry baby thorn users but a good majority of feedback !!!
And to all you messaging me about its not OP stop moaning , its people like you who got the auto rifles nerfed in the first place . I never do anything like this but you will always get your way if i don't try it back . I can't use a pistol could you not use an auto rifle before lol ( dumb question ) . C'mon auto rifle users lets give it them back !!!!!
Its just my opinion don't get yours knickers in a twist just merely stating the balance is not quite right yet !
Just a few tweeks in the original post above for idiots who want things spelling out !!

1 ReplyThe worst thing about Thorn is the lingering effect. I could put two rounds into another player, then just hide and wait for Mark of the Devourer to run its course.

A "veteran player" lol...

+20 guardian tears

Hahaha you familiar with autism?

A Ghorn with unlimited ammo would be OP, but if you really think Thorn is OP, I suggest more practice.
-
Tired of beating this dead horse. Muted.

2 RepliesVeteran player with 1.6 K/D? Oh no you aren't.
-
All the guns are op and need to be nerfed. All the armor is broken needs a nerf too. I don't know what bungie is thinking.
-
Crybaby, nerd, dweeb, dork, geek, lame, worm, weasel, ah fuk it... u get the point
-
People work hard to get it for that reason. It's the hardest exotic bounty in the game so should for that reason by one of the best weapons in the game... END OF!

2 RepliesI'm a hand cannon user. I use thorn a lot and have killed many with it but also i have been killed a lot by other players while i use it. Also i have killed many thorn users with my lord high fixer(don't have hawkmoon yet). You know why? Because its not about the gun, about who's using the gun. Its about skills. As simple as that. If you have skills and learn to adapt, you will find out that there's no gun OP in destiny. On a side note: get yourself the wonderful pulse rifle red death, lv. it up, get good with it and there you go, you will have the perfect counter for the DOT of thorn. Your welcome.

1 ReplyPoor baby :( You must be upset that you don't have a Thorn yet.

Can we screen and lock these threads

As much as I hate how goddamn powerful the gun is in Crucible, given how difficult the bounty is for it, it deserves to be OP.
-
With the amount of trouble that one has to commit to in order to receive the weapon, I'm glad it's as powerful as it is. Stop asking for a nerf, it's hardly as game breaking as some of you make it out to be.
-
Look, in case you haven't noticed, it is exotic. Chances are you don't have it yourself. Hand canons require skill to aim, have long reloads, and slow rate of fire. The bounty for Thorn makes it earned, and when gotten by RNG, that's as fair as it is with other weapons.
-
Hard bounty rewards you with a good gun. It's perfectly fine. And thorn is easily counterd.

1 ReplyWwwaaaaahhhhh! Thorn is OP! Nerf it because my butt hurts! Wwwwwwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
-
lol acting like an Xmas noob. Sooo many tears.

Veteran complainer is what you are.

It isn't OP, It's only a two shot kill if you have Mark of the Devourer. If you can get any bit of overshield, you will be safe from Thorn... well, you can't be two-shot killed. Sure it is strong, but it definitely is not OP. I have been killed whilst using Thorn many times. The burn damage is not very significant, but since you can get a headshot for 81 (I believe) it takes approximately 162 health away from the base 200. The burn damage accounts for the rest of the damage, which, by itself, isn't even enough to get your shield (not health) to half. When I use Thorn, most of the time, I finish off my enemy with a third headshot. The only times I get burn kills is when they try to run away when they should be trying to kill me instead. The thing is, people get a bit freaked out when their screen gets the burning effect, it makes them panic often resulting in a death.

Two headshots is reasonable. Thorn kicks like a mule. With an AR you just follow your target while shooting. With a HC you need to acquire your target, land a head shot, acquire target for a second time and land a second head shot. To be honest it could use a bit of a buff.
