xur spoils hardwork
Xur should stop selling exotics you should be only able to acquire exotics through hard work I.e raid,nightfall,good stats in pvp. Exotics should be achieved through doing something that's difficult. Xur should just sell upgrades for exotics. Nothing more. Bet you my ice breaker everyone will be rolling with it this week.
Xur is not the only problem what I'm saying is exotics should be rare. If you play pvp and get the most kills least deaths you should be rewarded. If you complete a raid u should be rewarded. If you do a nightfall have the most kills and revived alot of team members you should be rewarded. If you do a strike and not just wait at the beginning and have alot of kills you should be rewarded. Then you should be able to go to xur at weekends to spend your strange coins on upgrades for a weapon that you've earned. Not got through luck or purchased. That way exotics remain exotic.

"Good stats in PvP" you apparently haven't seen the 100+ pictures of bottom barrels getting exotics. RNG is RNG, it's random. Nothing is earned. Let's look at the lottery something's that's somewhat RNG, if I win 10 million dollars by buying a 2$ ticket, did I earn 10 million? No. I got lucky.

*xur spoils grinding. Hard work would be implying that doing the same 6 strikes is actually hard. If you had to do a week and a half long bounty then I'd be ok with maybe calling the grind hard work. But unfortunately you log on. do some strikes and bounties, keep your fingers crossed, get your rewards and then log off or switch characters. Rinse and repeat.

1 ReplyDoes anyone even know what the hell RNG even means I mean really dude it means "Random Number Generator" Which means everything that you get is random and it is luck based you don't get rewarded for "hardwork" you get rewarded for participation in the raids, nightfalls, pvp, I do/don't count weeklies because strange coins are a guaranteed drop from the weekly heroic strike so its 50/50 it's still random on the engrams though sometimes I get legendary engrams and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I do wish that the rng system would be better cause I'm kind of tired of getting the same exotics over and over again but oh well I'm just hoping to get Hawkmoon or Gjallarhorn from the nightfalls and the Raids.

I stopped reading after the first line All this guy is saying is he is jealous he had to "work hard" for his and people who completed the weekly heroic to get strange coins didn't work as hard as him getting it from nightfall He LOVES the grind

3 RepliesWhat is the issue here? I never like being teamed up with scrubs that don't have the right gear for the job. I end up carrying them. Look at it as the more unlucky players getting the proper tools to help YOU on your next strike (because for all we know, you got your icebreaker in the Crucible, and you were at the bottom of your team). It's just a game. You weren't special to begin with anyway.

Work? Its random. You play 100 strikes and no exotic. Guy does first ROC strike ever, dies a billion times, gets an exotic. That's how RNG works!

12 RepliesYeah, me running endless nightfalls/heroics/raiding for months and months definitely doesn't constitute hard work. Shit, I did all that stuff with one hand behind my back and a hot poker in the eye it was so easy. My definition of hardwork is constituted by my own insecurity, my own feeling that I was a unique snowflake who "earned" my exotics and now I dont get to feel that way because I feel that my way was harder and that obviously makes me superior to anyone who didnt get their exotic the same way I did. On top of that, I feel that PvP should be a determining factor of what hard work is, as I of course PvP. PvE is way not cool, way lamer than PvP because I say so. Bungie (a large company whom has disrespected me and my ways by not catering to my every whim) is clearly at fault. Their game should only do what I want, though I have no stake in it, I didnt work on it, all I did was buy it. Clearly my dollar should overwrite and outweigh their intellectual property. They have become casual lovers, I have a way to balance my schedule in such a way that makes me a "hardcore" gamer. Filthy casuals who only want to play a game to have fun, clearly have no right to breathe the same digitized air as my characters do. I earned stuff because reasons.

I got IB from an roc strike I was doing for bad juju bounty. I DIDN'T EARN SHIT. People who did the weekly and then grinded roc for strange coins earned their weapons.
