How I picture the class item development meeting went.

Lead Dev: Let's start with hunters. We'll give them a long, flowing cloak, with its own dynamic physics. It will have multiple art profiles: in town, the hood will be down, reveal the hunter's character, and out in the game world, it will cover the hunter's helmet and look totally boss. We can make them all different lengths, colors, styles and patterns! A hunter's choice of cloak will come to define their class, and really fulfill the player fantasy. And we'll develop a whole bunch of sub-lore surrounding them and really build on their hype! Other Devs: Awesome! That sounds so cool! We'll get on this at once! Random Dev: What about Titans? Lead Dev: Oh, um, we could like, give them a loin cloth. Other Devs: What? Lead Dev: You know, a loin cloth. We'll recycle the cloak physics we used for hunter and just do the same thing on a much smaller scale. Other Devs: But... a loin cloth? Really? That doesn't sound as cool... Lead Dev: It's fine. We'll relate it to the Titan's "barbarian" player fantasy and develop all that same sub-lore like we did for hunter's cloaks. Other Devs: Ok, I guess we can sell that... Random Dev: What about Warlocks? Lead Dev: *an awkward silence* Lead Dev: Who? Random Dev: Warlocks? Our 3rd class? Lead Dev: I thought we were just going with two classes? Other Devs: No, no, we're going with three. Lead Dev: Oh... well... they can have arm bands. Other Devs: *silence* Random Dev: Like, cool fore-arm mounted computers, or like, dual upper arm bicep sleeves with cool paterns? Lead Dev: No. Like, a single bicep band. Other Devs: *silence* Lead Dev: Like those arm bands soccer captains wear. Soccer is cool. Random Dev: Like, on each arm though right? And maybe with automated moving parts and lights? Lead Dev: No, like just one arm. Very small, like 2 inches wide max. Other Devs: O...k... Lead Dev: Like, I mean, I guess we could maybe put lights on the super rare and expensive ones. But never more than a single color. And no moving parts. That costs way to much development resources. Just throw some particles on the legendary ones. But keep it simple. Don't let them stand out. You should have to inspect the warlock to even know they are wearing a class item. Other Devs: That kinda sounds lame compared too- Lead Dev: I don't care. Hunter master race. Random Dev: Maybe at least put the bands on both arms? All we would need to do is copy and pas- Lead Dev: This meeting is over. *slams notebook and walks out*
