Usually someone has to create the copy/pastas. Those jokes that become popular are created by someone. Etc. Remember, shitposting is basically throwing paint at a wall. You know what we call that? Modern art. I will not allow that in this community. I have standards. Be a little clever with it. Paint a masterpiece. Make people question what they just read. Make it so they have to go over it again to get the meaning of it. Their is a certain reward to subtlety. Most times it's hard to find a shitpost that's got that rare combination of humor and randomness to make it quality. In general shitposting is toxic to communities. It degrades how we communicate. The quality of the information being passed around doesn't need to be low just for some shock value. Occasionally someone here does something clever, but it's not nearly often enough. In the cases where it does happen we can all share a laugh and the community can grow stronger. Having a little fun with people can be good, and it doesn't have to be malicious or rude or just plain old spam. Most days the Flood doesn't do this, but I bet you could. Speaking of doing things, take the first letter from each paragraph and line them up.
