People talking about Gjallarhorn being the strongest and best exotic heavy weapon and to that HELL YEA it is!! Other talking about Xur selling it would allow everyone to have it now which would then lead it to getting nerf and etc but the possibility of them nerfing it from my point of view is nil BUT if they were to do it, reducing the magazine size from 2 to 1 and the reserved ammo from the 5 to 4 would be reasonable.
I honestly still don't think they will nerf it even if Xur were to sell it again.. I would be happy if everyone got it which would make my life easier in strikes, raid and nightfall/weekly heroic and etc..
What are some of your thoughts?

Are people actually reading this properly.. I'm not saying I want a nerf. I'm just saying if there was a nerf what are some of the possibilities without breaking it. The one I listed are the reasonable one that I would be okay with IF they were to do it.. The video above is an example of how good it feels to -blam!- something and then destroy it then -blam!- it again.. Great feeling.. I've done this with my fireteam and in 1 portal run, we all just orgasm at what 6 Gjallarhorn can do..
Of course an exotic should feel powerful and I agree and I love my Gjallarhorn the way it is.

Instead of everyone looking at it so poorly, why not just flip it around. We all know that bungie is well aware of what will happen if they nerf Gjallarhorn right? So they wouldn't touch something so delicate recklessly (although its destructive power aren't anywhere close to being delicate).
Bungie will think, "Well since the problem lies with Gjallarhorn out shining other exotic rocket launcher, instead of nerfing Gjallarhorn and upsetting the community as a whole, why not just make small changes and adjust and buff the other exotic so they are on par with Gjallarhorn and won't be outshines. Making changes to Truth and Super Good Advice and wherever is needed but not so drastic but little by little and see the results."
Something like that...

1 ReplyTruth should be switchable between void, solar and arc. (Like murmur but better) Dragons breath should have more dmg or tracking/max velocity
-
I feel like they'd never nerf it cause the point of heavy weapons is to be overpowered for a while. And if they were to nerf it they should nerf the truth in pvp also

1 ReplyWhat do u play pvp or pve?

Edited by RufusxDavid: 1/10/2015 3:13:05 PMReduce number(1) or damage of wolfpack rounds(5-10%) or reduce blast radius/velocity(5-10%) Edit: I'm only talking very slight reductions

Shut up
-
3 Replies35% dmg reduction to wolfpack rounds would be about right.

2 RepliesI don't think you should compare rocket launchers to machine guns , but that is another arguement. Truth and Gjallahorn. I don't have either but from the way people talked they were pvp and pve orientated respectively. Which is fine. I do have dragons breath and I can only assume it's supposed to be an all around gun, I don't often play pvp though.

5 Replieswhat the -blam!- is with everything needing "nerfing" what the -blam!- needs nerfing about the gun? it shoots rockets..whoopy shit. Soon the only good gun in the game will be the Khvostov 7G and even then youll moan that needs nerfing -blam!-ing suck it up
-
Nerfing it, would break it. There is a reason why it is an amazing, powerful, exotic rocket launcher. Even the slightest modifications could spell disaster for so many who have it.
-
1 ReplyGjallarhorn doesnt need a nerf at all. its a bloody rocket launcher. in your video the entire team is shooting rockets with the damage buff.. its meant to be this way when the damage is increased.
-
1 ReplyWhy would you even post this? Why give them ideas.
-
-blam!- u

4 RepliesAtheon been asking for a nerf months now Gjallarhorn!
-
I wish bungie would use Gjhallhorn as a standard for their exotics. On of the best weapons of there class without breaking PvP.
-
Khvostov needs a buff in PvE.

2 RepliesI think they should remove the tracking rounds on it. It ruins the point of using truth. Why would you use a rocket launcher than tracks like crazy, when you can use one that tracks pretty good and also shoots Wolfpack rounds.

7 RepliesEdited by Recon SR2: 1/8/2015 10:18:27 PMI like the idea of buffing other Exotic Heavies. Gjallarhorn outshines them all, I should have a good reason to whip out Thunderlord (As much as I love that gun), besides standing there eating bullets waiting for the bonus to kick in. An accuracy bonus and/or increased precision damage would be nice. Or maybe let consecutive precision hits increase damage by 1% or 2% per shot, to make it the Machine Gun that eats bosses alive, like Gjallarhorn does.

1 ReplyI cant believe you want to nerf the G. Are you high?
-
1 ReplyUsually these nerf Gjallarhorn post make me want to punch a baby, but this is the most thought out one I have read. I still don't want to lose ammo, but if they were to nerf it, this would be the only way I would be ok with.
-
I think it would be enough if the just removed the tracking, and leave the damage untouched. xD

Edited by SwpDevil 13: 1/9/2015 1:21:18 AMGjallarhorn was the sixth most use heavy while ice breaker was the second most use special eh... And Suros is the second most use primary while VoC was the most commonly used primary which was a no brainer..

3 RepliesIt's honestly not that great. Used it on Idiot Tau'arc and Sepiks and they just swallowed every rocket and cluster with minimal damage. (331 damage Ghorn maxed all the way btw) it's honestly only good for Crota and Aetheon. And occasionally small bosses

"It's an Exotic it is suppose to feel powerful." - Bungie

STOP THE NERF WHINERS

NO MORE NERFS

5 RepliesBring the other rockets up to par. Have Truth deal more damage on impact, since its the only one without any continued damage. Have Dragon's Breath ignite targets to deal more damage over time.
