Why would you use the d-pad to switch when triangle handles that pretty well already?(unless you mean like swap your primary with a different primary) I think they should be used for consumables mainly and someone said switch subclass which sounded neat. Also maybe have one bring up your bounties or something.

I was talking about swapping primary for primary, etc. Consumables as well. I did see the comment about swapping subclasses, which would also be interesting. For me though, being able to swap between weapons in each category quickly would be more useful.

I agree, it takes too long for everything to load up in the character menu
