who's thankful for their gift?
Since this morning when I have been on the forums, all I have heard is complaining about the gift. Bungie can't satisfy you people. I haven't even arrived hole yet and I am already thankful for the gift no matter what It will be. How about you stop complaining about every little thing and be thankful for something for a change?

I got up for anything, though ill probably never use it and its useless to me, i still think its nice.

I got some pulse rifle called Time on Target. I didn't have a legendary pulse rifle, so that was neat.

I loved my gift! I'm only 26 and not many purples so I was happy. Got Another NitC with firefly and explosive rounds

Hey, a gift is a gift. Anticipation as I went to get it. Mild disappointment it wasn't anything I wanted. An "Oh well" as I sharded it. "What bounties are there?" They gave us a lottery ticket, pure and simple. I didn't hit the jackpot, I got on with my day. It was more a welcome gift to the newbies than anything. I'm pretty certain most, if not all, of the complainers already have a good load out to play with. They just feel it should have been guaranteed awesomeness. For whatever reason.

I got a mg18a with rodeo, perfect balance, and that perk where you reload quicker after kills, I'll keep it as a sub for thunderlord when I use icebreaker.

They chose to cater to one group of players and thats why people are complaining. I would of loved a ghost shell and a sparrow instead of some bullshit gun that i can buy basically. Bungie might as well not do anymore gifts from now on. Cause theyve done this twice and failed horribly twice. Once with that stupid pumpkin head shit, and now this when they could of made everyone happy. Dont -blam!- over one portion of your gaming community just to please corporate or because you had the option to please both parties, but chose to -blam!- one over for the other.

People have played since day one, put up with the Godforsaken rng system which was - and still is in some ways - truly awful; put up with Bungie updating the game so some players couldn't connect to it; seeing their efforts account for little when the DLC reduced their armour to pretty, but out of date trinkets to name but a few issues. With the longer served players in mind, this could be (and in some ways should have been foreseen) as a slap in the face to loyal fans. I would have liked something in the form of a limited edition ghost shell to show that we had been around at the start, before the newer generations came in and experienced a smoother game than we did. However, even with the above in mind; I do appreciate the token of generosity that Bungie have offered. I've said elsewhere, they didn't have to do this, but still did. It seems to show that some of the company that was around ten years ago is still there in some way.

If that's all it was gonna be we should've gotten it on Christmas or New Years not a week and a half later lol idk I think most would've been more accepting of a typically useless weapon if it had been Christmas instead of being all hyped up and excited only to be dissapointed. Just my opinion though I'm sure bungie tried hard

It would have been better to have a cool winter themed ghost shell but I was about to start grinding to get to vanguard rank 3 so I could buy weapons so the gift saved time. Btw got a devil you don't hand cannon

I got [b]up for anything[/b] and energy because I had the vanguard version of it but then I looked at the stats and I screamed "HOLY CRAP" because I could fully max out its stability and its an auto rifle which is amazing and along with gunslingers trance it'll be amazing so I deleted the other one and I'm working on the new one [b]thanks bungie :)[/b]

I got the CCL Badger Scout Rifle and I love Scout Rifles so I was very happy I saved those marks since I was going to buy the Badger. Thanks Bungie!!!
