Mass Effect and Destiny aren't really comparable. Neither have had equivalent time to develop and evolve, they're different genres (ME being an RPG with some cover shooting, and Destiny being an FPS with a few RPG/MMO elements thrown into the mix), and they focus on different things. Mass Effect is a story, a journey. Destiny is a shooter, through and through.
It's like comparing a Shark to a Tiger. Sure, they're both predators, but they're adapted for different environments and have evolved to hunt different things.

ME 1 vs Destiny 1... Destiny wins due to tech. But story still falls to ME1. I like to think about the future of destiny 2-3. Similar to the ME 2-3 and halo 2-3. This game will get better.

Halo had a better story than this. COD's stories are better than this. Battlefield, Gears of War. Name almost any FPS and their campaigns were immensely better stories than this. I really don't understand the point of anyone saying the story sucks because it's an FPS.

Nowhere in my statement do I say that Destiny's crap story is excusable because it's an FPS. I'm just saying that each game focuses on different aspects and gameplay elements.
