I would love to go to a private match where we can enjoy either the map or have a friendly (competitive >=) ) competition. To those who say that private matches can't happen because people will farm the crucible bounties. Gettting no XP or rewards, pretty much comes with it regardless. Deej posted(can't find it) that We just have to keep asking for it for we can get it. Again, to those who say" frck bungee, they nver lister to us". We got team voice chat because of us asking. We just need to ask more, That's it. To those who agree with me or the others who have posted these types of posts before. Make another post about private matches. That's it. I know" that wirr bee annoyering" but you got to do what you got to get bungie to listen.
Edited: Thanks to GreatHype and Panda. Thank you for being polite about my post.
Edit: if you're liking this. Please like the other posts about this topic. They're very informative about how bungie could go about making this happen.

Bump. There should be a ranked and a private playlist. 'The Crucible' would be the ranked playlist and there should be another name for custom private games, 'The Theatre' would be my suggestion (military reference as is 'crucible').

Agreed. I said something similar in the No Cap For Glimmer Thread. It would be nice to try out weapons on other Guardians to see how good they are. Even if those Guardians aren't Spider Man and amazing level 32's, they could still get ready for the real fights online. Learning their fav spots to snipe or "Camp" would also help build up a better competitive community. Rather than blaming someone's ability to use the map and environment in their favour. And no I am not referencing "Cheesing". Lol

Would like to see this

Zk you hit the nail on the head. Private matches for fun, not for reward/xp. Heck, playing Forge mode in Halo Reach ( I think it was in reach and not Halo 4) netted a player a very small amount of XP, so whether its a small amount of XP or none at all, get that private match making in Destiny.

Yes, private matches are needed.
-
Yes, this would be awesome x.x

Private matches would be totally viable as long as there are no rewards or rep/mark gains for the obvious possibility people might use the matches to farm. It would be a way to have playing amongst friends or do 1v1 for the trash talkers to solve their disputes. Private matches would also be the beginning to pave the way to eventually making this game competitive (which still needs a lot of work to make this happen).

2 RepliesI agree, check out my thread on improving pvp in all areas. I touched on an argument for custom games. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/89080089/0/0

This has been one of my hopes since the launch of Destiny. As well as the fact that if PM's are implemented, more clans will take a look onto Destiny and that would increase the popularity of the game in general.

Yeah! Maybe not as intricate as halo's, but still just something to start with
-
Yes we need private. Even if it were so that private matches dont grant rep or marks.. so that there are no easy loopholes to getting marks. It would go a long way.. then we can eventually get ranked matches!
