I think it's hilarious everyone who says dragons breath is bad.
It doesn't have tracking.
The solar grenade left doesn't last long enough.
It is too slow of velocity.
IT ISN'T BAD, YOU JUST DON'T HAVE SKILL. Any decent player could play with any set of maxed weapons and still be efficient.
Here's what Dragons Breath does have:
It does hold three shells in one clip.
It does have a bigger blast radius than any rocket launcher.
And it holds the most the rockets.
So you take your tracking, Wolfpack rounds, and 2 rockets per clip. I'll take 3 rockets per clip, an additional rocket in ammo capacity, a solar grenade, and a bigger blast radius any day.
"Burn the world, burn it all."
Edit 1: For those of you who continue to say gjallarhorn is better than dragons breath, obviously misunderstood my post or clearly just didn't read it. It wasn't to say which was better because every gun serves a purpose. ( maybe even No Land Beyond some day) This was just to state that the launcher itself, in my opinion, is not bad. I NEVER SAID IT WAS BETTER, just that it isn't a bad launcher.

I love my DB I wish I had ghorn but I can work with dragons breath
-
Yes, it's bad

3 RepliesDumb ass

9 RepliesIt's the worst exotic rocket launcher. That's what they mean not that it sucks and using a potato would be better. But truth and ghorn are better then dragons breath. Face the facts
-
2 RepliesGod, I just love how ANYONE who doesn't like a weapon, strike, raid, etc., just sucks and doesn't have any skill. I swear, every one of you -blam!-ers who makes the "you just suck" argument should be banned from forums. You literally have no real input, tips, or strategies for anyone. You bring no positive energy to the game or its community. Do us all a favor and stop posting. As a matter of fact, just stop playing the game. We'd be better off without you.

4 RepliesHunger of Crota is the best rocket launcher because it is legendary. You can then have exotic primary
-
I think the problem is every one is really reliant on the tracking. Dragons Breath is a placement rocket, as the Gjallarhorn is a "set and forget". I do think tho that with a proximity detonation would help out some as a lot of times the target gets a few steps to run. But I think hit for hit thy are in the same range just one needs more time to do full damage. If you got good aim and you can pin a boss to a wall the Dragons Breath is a fun one. And so far hitting a boss with 3 rounds of it hurts for longer then the G-Horn. But I still like my G-Horn for mass up front carnage.

Ignorance.
-
truth has 3 rounds default. without upgrade
-
6 RepliesFor one, it's magazine not clip. And two... Truth packs 3 shells in the mag as well.

Gjallarhorn >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dragon's Breath.
-
By you (the author's) logic, dragon's breath still sucks because I have an arc damage rocket launcher that has the 3 rockets mod, max blast radius, and the clown cartridge mod... which frequently procs to give me 4 rockets chambered, sometimes thereby giving me one or two free extra rounds.

Edited by God Sent Quails: 1/5/2015 8:17:50 PMSomewhere there are stats that a fellow guardian posted last couple weeks stating the following: (dps of course) 1. Gjahllahorn 2. Hunger of Crota 3. Dragons Breath I'm not sure if you can search for the article, and I know I'm not much help, but basically it's ranked number 3 in a widely argued topic. Conclusion: It's a very good rocket launcher. But not the best. Edit: when fully maxed in all cases of course.

12 RepliesYour bad you don't have a gjallahorn
-
Sorry, but once you go gjallarhorn, you never go backarhorn.
I tried, Ok?
I have a lot of fun with it. It is a game after all :) Reality is its a great Rocket Launcher but there are lots of great ones. Is it Ghorn? no but so what have fun with it, the solar flare is cool and fun. Heck I don't think its as good as my Legendary Hazens Veng but I'm not all about the meta all of the time like some people are. I enjoy changing my armors, guns, shaders, everyday and mixing it up. Enjoy your Dragon's Breath the comparisons are for meta only. It is a lot of fun to block spawn entrances with it or use it to funnel mobs to a sainted bubble.

11 RepliesThey're for different situations. All 3 are, actually. Gjallahorn is based around higher damage to single targets. That's why it's a beast against bosses. Truth is designed for tracking fast moving targets, which is most useful in the crucible. Dragon's Breath is a mob killer, plain and simple. That's why it doesn't track; it doesn't need to if you're aiming at a group of enemies. I see this all the time where people complain that an exotic isn't good for x, y or z when it's not designed for that. All exotics have a purpose behind their design, you just have to figure it out.

2 RepliesUm Sunbreakers?! Solar grenades last for nearly a minute
-
Truth has 3 rockets AND can track AND explodes early making it more difficult for players to dodge it. 5 second Solar flare? Lol
-
2 RepliesI rather have the truth in pvp and ghorn in pve
-
Still not better than truth or gjallahorn
-
Unfriendly giant holds the most rounds but good try buddy.
