I think it's hilarious everyone who says dragons breath is bad.
It doesn't have tracking.
The solar grenade left doesn't last long enough.
It is too slow of velocity.
IT ISN'T BAD, YOU JUST DON'T HAVE SKILL. Any decent player could play with any set of maxed weapons and still be efficient.
Here's what Dragons Breath does have:
It does hold three shells in one clip.
It does have a bigger blast radius than any rocket launcher.
And it holds the most the rockets.
So you take your tracking, Wolfpack rounds, and 2 rockets per clip. I'll take 3 rockets per clip, an additional rocket in ammo capacity, a solar grenade, and a bigger blast radius any day.
"Burn the world, burn it all."
Edit 1: For those of you who continue to say gjallarhorn is better than dragons breath, obviously misunderstood my post or clearly just didn't read it. It wasn't to say which was better because every gun serves a purpose. ( maybe even No Land Beyond some day) This was just to state that the launcher itself, in my opinion, is not bad. I NEVER SAID IT WAS BETTER, just that it isn't a bad launcher.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!

7 RepliesDragon's Breath is *different* ...and *different*= "bad" in the minds of some people. Gjallarhorn and Truth are designed to FLATTEN things. Dragon's Breath was designed to CONTROL a particular spot on the map. By killing what's on it...then discouraging anything coming back to it.

If u increase blast radius the velocity Will go back alot. That being said as soon as you hit crota (just for example) with DB i shot 2 Ghorn shots it the time you hitted 1. DB is good don't get me wrong but 99% of the time any rocket Will do the job just as good. Its more a anti infantry rocket for HIVE mainly.

Go to earth by the place where the loot cave is and wait until an event occurs. The one when is an all out war. You can clear a large mob in no time. Specially when the higher level knights and captains come out. Had loads of fun with DB.
-
It's not good enough for an exotic slot
-
A butt load of Gjallarhorn noob shooters saying that their gun is 100% better and requires "skill" when actually all of the launchers do the same damage per cartridge....
-
It's not as good as a Jelly. That being said, it is plenty effective for someone who missed it when it was sold and hasn't been blessed by it through rng (I don't have one). It's fun to use and will do plenty of damage in places where something just needs to die fast.
-
1 ReplyNot bad, but I'd never use it over my Gjallarhorn. Once you actually own one, you'll forget all about that wasteful exotic.
-
4 RepliesAll of this said by a non Ghorn owner. lol. That's why its earned the nickname "Jellyhorn" cuz you jealous as hell if you don't have it & make up crap like this to make yourself feel better.
-
It's not for me, but respect to those who use it. I'll stick with my HoC for now.
-
Gjally is still better, but Dragon's Breath is great for crowd control and DPS on bosses.
-
You elitist jellyhorn users make me sick. There is more than one capable loadout combination in this game. People use what they have. As long as the weapons are maxed and do the proper burn damage for raids and nightfalls, who gives a shit? Only the tryhards.
-
I love Dragon's Breath, but it's worst sadly.
-
Yellyhorn is without a doubt the best RL. But I agree with some others here that using DB doesn't make you a bad player, lol. Everyone can use what they want. And if your Raid party is ok with your choice of guns that stupid argument shouldn't even brought up at all. Your guardian, your playstyle.
-
Who cares, as long as you can hold your own. Switching guns / set-ups constantly is part of the fun in this game I find.....except shotguns PVE (unless I'm missing something.....) Only thing that pisses me off are raiders who only raid specifically with other Ghorn owners. (Yes I do have one)

Edited by Unholy Trinity Ghoul: 1/6/2015 6:01:49 AMDragons breath does more damage per rocket than HoC and Truth. I have tested them. As for damage per rocket its Gjallarhorn>Dragons Breath>Truth>HoC>Hezen. That said, i use HoC and Truth over Dragons breath because *tracking*.
-
The thing is that it is an Exotic. And you can only use 1 >_> They should be competitive with each other, and IF you have Gjallarhorn there is no need to use DB's. And if you don't, the only reason you would use it instead of Truth is if Solar Burn is on. I think Gjallarhorn should be Arc Damage. Then there would be a reason to use DB's ;)

1 ReplyIf it makes you feel better then carry on but in all honesty gjallahorn is better
-
Look at all you fools without a Gjhallarhorn trying to make Dragon breath sound more powerful than any other rocket. Hahaha, what fools.
-
Edited by Don Quijote: 1/6/2015 4:38:08 AMI have Gjallarhorn and I still love dragons breath
-
Hold on, if Dragon's Breath is bad and I have it does that mean I have bad breath?
-
You dont even have gjallarhorn hahaha thats why u say this but trust me, gjallarhorn can outgun any rocket launcher, ANY. 😁

20 RepliesYea let me use a weapon that: 1) doesn't track to ensure its kill like Horn or Truth 2) Doesn't have a proximity explosion to make sure the enemy can't escape like Truth. 3) Shoots a solar grenade the is utterly useless against 90% of the enemies since the blast will kill them anyway. Bosses will just move out of it and the only boss who this effect is actually 100% sure to work on is the Devil Walker. In PvE, I want to wreck everything and make sure my team is good to go, which is what Gjallarhorn is designed for. In PvP, I want to make sure no one can escape me when I have heavy ammo, which is what Truth is designed for. Dragon's breath doesn't compare to them. Are you really going to use Dragon's Breath over Horn in a Solar Burn NF? Not to mention it isn't worth the exotic slot if you have the above 2 weapons, Thunderlord, or even HoC. So yea. Its pretty bad
