This is just sad
How do level 30s and 31s not have any knowledge of how to use the shield relic in VOG? Seriously the only time we survived was when I had relic every other time these guys were either too slow killing oracles or just got killed by ads.
Just pointing out that none of them were Christmas noobs. You can get to these levels now without even trying the vault and I don't get how that was supposed to work. Didn't bungie forsee this happening?

I don't care if people could get max level without doing a raid. I did the VoG on hard for my first VoG and had no idea how the relics worked, and I still do not fully understand them. Who cares?

This is a very easy question to answer, the Lvl 30s and 31s you played with have never played the VoG, they just BOUGHT their -blam!-ing armor from the -blam!-ing vanguard.

Actually... I kind of wish the vog awarded you based on performance instead of leaving it up to rng. This would force everyone to do the most difficult parts in order to get better rewards. One group of randoms I joined were new... but they were competent and listened well... but I had to first solo a sync plate (the sixth didn't join to confluxes)... we got through confluxes and oracles... I carried the relic through the templar... soloed the left gatekeeper... drop the sheild for someone then soloed the right... and no I do not have ghorn... and then the only reason we passed atheon is that I got telephoned 3 times in a row... and my reward? 3 shards.

Is there a chance that they have never run the vault before like me? Just ran the oracle save point to the end last night for the first time ever and I was lost as -blam!-.

Edited by Shy: 1/1/2015 5:47:23 PMI been playing since day one. When I finally reached the level to do the Vog I was super scared. When I got invited my team already knew who would use the relic. They told me to just kill the oracles. Since then that's been my job and I do damn great at it. I don't have knowledge of using the relic since I'm always with my clan and have designated relic holders..... Yes yes I should Learn but I will later on. Eventually

Yeah anyone can be a 31 now not the few who did the raid on hard to level up their guy.
