The world is so empty and gentle. It's perfect for those below 20, but what about those who have hit the ceiling?

There should be a hard mode patrol.[/b]
In hard mode patrol, you can have up to six in a fireteam, and there'd be more enemies, more majors, more ultras, more STUFF HAPPENING. There would be sword bearers invading everywhere, pike gangs riding like they own the place, public events falling like rain, enemies moving against each other 24/7, spawn rates increased for everything, everywhere. It'd be the freaking apocalypse.
You want to have a good time with your friends? Hard mode patrol would be the happening place.
There could be patrol missions that send you on stuff from the story, or strike events that allow you to join a strike. You could pick up a mission that tells you to end Telthor, or Phogoth, or Valus Ta'Aurc. And these missions wouldn't be the normal missions, either; you're in hardmode patrol, doing hard mode missions and strikes, with a super sized fireteam: the missions would be hell on wheels, and the strikes would be worthy of nightfall.
And you could do them all with up to five friends.
Now tell me you're not absopositively creaming yourself at the thought of that.

12 RepliesI wouldn't hold my breath for this entry, but my hope for Destiny 2 is a true persistent world - one where instead of these "bubbles" it's various servers like on an actual MMO (and why not seeing as you have to be online to play the game anyway) with real-time events that can have dramatic impacts on the world. For example, what if we could actually lose access to certain planets if we're slacking off and have to fight our way through an Orbital Blockade and then storm the enemy on the surface as an event? Or how about if a bunch of people are just cheerfully sitting around the tower when an alert goes off requesting that all available Guardians assemble to defend the walls against an incoming Fallen onslaught? The game needs more dynamic stuff like that, and things that can change from when you log out and log back in like an actual MMO. Bungie can deny it all they want but that's essentially what Destiny is until they put in a different structure. It just sadly lacks the usual attractions or perks of one as well. Oh, and it'd be nice if we could patrol with a full fireteam of 6 and actually have multiple objectives active at once rather than a single patrol mission at any given time. Would also really like to see item levels thrown out the window (really hate that trend, thanks WoW...) and have levels matter a bit more. That is, higher level enemies should be more dangerous (and spread out even across every planet so as to make specific regions more dangerous) while we get to have fun stomping on or watching the lower level ones run in terror from us. Seriously what's the point of being at the level cap with the best gear in the game when even a lowly level 1 minion isn't afraid of you and can even kill you?!

13 RepliesEdited by Trando: 1/13/2015 5:06:29 PMAdd the ability to be PvP all the time as well, make it an actual Wilderness. Mark the individuals who have high kill streaks as bounties and earn glimmer, marks and rep for taking them out. Make it an all around dangerous place to be in.

Screw PvP. All of the above would be epic. That's why I like the Omnigul strike so much. The last fight is just a giant cluster -blam!-. It's awesome!

Been attempting to spread this idea since I last posted here. This is something Bungie should see and should put in the game. I cant see a single player disliking the option of this seeing as if you didn't like it or didn't want to venture to hard mode you wouldn't have to. the possibility are endless with new ghosts to find potentially new chests, higher drop rate for blue/purple engrams new boss things to fight. make it like a raid where if you die a team mate has to revive you whole team dies your sent to orbit if you go in on your own you get a 2 minute wait for others to maybe revive you. So many options so much possibility. This could make destiny what we all expected when we saw it first in trailers.
