Xūr is a Warlock
Xūr is a warlock. He has the robe and the bond to prove it. He may have a hood like a hunter, but that's just to hide his face.
If you read up on the story of he and the nine, it makes sense.
EDIT: It does not state he is cis-Jovian. It does say the nine (awoken warminds) made a deal with the cis jovians to ensure their own survival. Even if he is Cis-Jovian, I can still be right. All races are able to be guardians.

EDIT: There's something on the outside of Xūr's cloak that looks like a Titan mark. So maybe he's all three.
EDIT: Yes, Xūr is obviously not an actual guardian. He's an NPC, that's not hard to tell. But my point is he's dressed like a Warlock. (He also has a hunter hood and Titan mark)

Thus, this means that only Guardian's are Titans, Hunters, or Warlocks. Thus, neither the Queen, her brother, the Stranger, Xur, etc are Titans, Hunters, or Warlocks. They may be similar just like how a Vandal can cloak like a Hunter or how a Wizard can floof about like a Warlock but they are not Guardian's and not a member of any of the Guardian's classes.

Look at the stranger she wasn't forged from light and doesn't have a [i]little light[/i] but yet she is definitely a hunter.. The queens brother has no ghost and wasn't forged from light but he's a hunter as well.. Open your -blam!-ing minds and stop thinking inside of the box.. Show me where it says if you weren't forged from light by a ghost you [b]cant[/b] be one of the classes..

Those are Guardian classes for those born in the Traveler's Light. Other NPC's may be similar but they simply can't be one of those classes. Might as well start calling Wizards Warlocks and Vandals Hunters and I can't think of a good Titan comparison right now so leave one below for me! (EDIT: Says right in the classes Grimoire cards about how each uses the Traveler's Light in different ways and what they do for the Traveler. That means you have to be a Guardian to be one of the classes because otherwise you can't do anything with the Traveler's Light.)

Xur is not a Guardian. He either took those class armor items in trade, found them in the wastes or took them off the bodies of Guardians he killed.

28 RepliesXur is an NPC. He was not born of Light. He is not a Guardian. Only peopl born in the Traveler's Light are Guardians and therefore Titans/Hunters/Warlocks. Get over yourself and your class.

Xür is what he is, never a guardian. Not Hunter, Warlock or Titan. Not forged in light. Maybe not even human genetics. But he is useful either way. He is the Sherpa of the future and sells us good stuff. So let's not argue who he is or why he is here but question what he does with the strange coins.

3 RepliesNo he isn't. Despite similarities to the way Warlocks and Wizards manipulate the Void, the fundamental difference is that Warlock do so through their Light. The Light is anathema to the Cis-Jovians, and Xur himself will tell you how it pains him.
