Grimoire score is the ONLY thing that actually is earned

I have them all but what was the point except to have the actual story on my PC/Destiny app. They are basically like the golden chest, just something else for you to collect and kill time with in the game.

I did and guess what u dont get a damn thing for it. So its totally optional in my book. The only way to find out if people are any good is to play with them. In this game its more than being good at destiny by urself. Its a team effort . 6 great players with 2700 grimore can struggle more than 6 crappy players with 1000 grimore. If the crappy team can talk and work well togather the will complete. 6 awesome players cant listen or think there to good to listen to others will struggle for hrs. Its about the team. Team work determines the outcome. Crotas end can take 35 to 40 mins or 3 or 4 hrs and just leave withput a complete. U cant honestly say someone needs to get good by that number alone. So ur post is kinda dumb and sterotypical.

7 RepliesYa sorry grimoire doesn't determine skill. I don't have 2000 grimoire score and I think I'm highly skilled, several times I have lead a shitty group through VoG that was having trouble without me. Grimoire can be easily gained through grinding all you have to do is grind and your score can go higher, that doesn't determine skill just how much time you're willing to spend on a game. Also you get grimoire through dead ghost which doesn't determine skill at all. And lastly grimoire is also earned by getting exotics I myself have gotten very unlucky with exotics unlike some of my friends who have gotten every single one just cause RNGjesus hates me. Sorry friend.

I haven't long hit 2000 and have had it since day one, done both raids multiple raids multiple times, do the weekly nightfall every week and haven't missed barely any, I think my score sucks as I only play crucible when I need to, and have a preference for certain weapons (scout rifle, sniper rifle, rocket) and rarely use much else

Who gives a f*** about grimoire? The only reason I'm over 2000 is bc I just decided to make a Hunter a couple weeks ago. Had Destiny since day 1. Even though I have over 650 hrs, that's the last thing I'm worried about

A high grimoire score doesn't determine skill, it really shows how much time you have put into the game and you definitely will have more than 1 character. You will be experienced yes, but that is completely different to skill!
