So I have yet to see a good pvp player suck at pve. Pve is the easiest, most repetitive bs in destiny. The crucible truly tests your skills. Those of you who have a crucible phobia, to put it plainly: suck. Those of you who admittedly suck yet still play, I commend you for jumping in the fire.
Keep shooting at bullet sponges and predictable ai and brag about being good. You know you're bad; keep lying to yourself.
EDIT: let's use some logic here people. In pve you have perfect information. You know where, when, how many and what enemies are spawning. Pvp is much different. Human beings are unpredictable, and consequently more challenging to beat. The skill set necessary to do well in pvp translates well to pve--not vice versa. Some one challenge that logic without calling me a retard, cod noob, scrub...etc.
Edit 2: Thanks for the lively debate fellas. Is it possible we keep the keyboard courage to a minimum? If you disagree with me please explain why. I know it's tempting to personally attack me over the internet without consequences, but let's try to be nice.
Edit 3: apparently the community thinks I'm a scrub. Here are some facts: please go to destiny tracker and look up your profile. There's a percentile associated with your stats. I have a 1.31 kd which places me in the 33% percentile. That means my kd is better than 67% of other players. Does that mean I'm good? I don't know. Does that mean I'm a scrub. Most likely not.

2 RepliesYou're not right or wrong. Crucible is truly a test of skill, but depending on the type of PvE, it can be a test of teamwork and cooperation. Plus, there's better rewards in PvE
-
6 RepliesYour stats are terrible though
-
2 RepliesYou are SHIT at this game!
-
1 ReplyI didn't realize that hiding in corners only equipped with instakill fusion rifles and shotguns with unlimited ammo took more skill than raid mechanics and team coordination. Anybody can be good in crucible if you learn one simple mechanic.... don't use a primary weapon.
-
2 RepliesWho cares, who cares, who actually cares!? I don't do PvP because its not what I buy games for, do I think I am better than anyone? No. Why? Because I do not care. I just like playing a game without this elitist nonsense of I am better than you because I play a game differently etc etc. So you probably are better than me at Destiny oh well because its a GAME. I really really REALLY don't care aslong as I enjoy playing it. Rant over.
-
1 ReplyYou're wrong for one reason only. There is no superior mode. You can like pve or pvp just don't suck their dick like a fan boy.
-
2 RepliesYou are a scrub not because of your KD, you are a scrub because you think any number associated with your KD has real merit of some sort... Does having a KD like yours make the burgers cook quicker? Does having a KD like yours make life better? My definition for a scrub = someone who believes a video game means something. Why can't people just enjoy the game with their friends and end this silly digital elitism. Have a merry Christmas Guardians!

1 ReplyWhere is the #Satire? PvP is so easy are you -blam!-ing kidding me?... Not to mention you ruin about every gun screaming for a nerf...
-
2 RepliesUnderstand both sides.. PvP players may probably have better gunskill, however PvE players may have better thinking on their feet skill.. Both have their challenges and if you place one player on the opposite situation they may use that skill to their benefit.. A slaying based PvP player may do well kill wise in the raid but not be helping with the big picture and that's detracting.. However a obj player in the raid (relic holder in VoG, damage caller in Crota) may not get many kills in crucible but he will get a lot of assists in clash and possibly most flag caps in control.. So it's all a matter of perspective what your skills are based on what you play.. Neither is better than the other they just enjoy their style of play :)

4 RepliesI just do really well at both and call it a day. Not trying to be arrogant, but I don't consider myself one or the other (PvE or PvP). I just do whatever I'm in the mood for, which is usually PvE until I'm out of bounties then jump into the crucible.
-
2 RepliesYou are a scrub because you said "those of you with a crucible phobia - suck" and in the same post asked people to be nice. Also your entire post is simply a negative and scrubby post.
-
1 ReplyEdited by mikedcamp: 12/25/2014 2:58:00 PMI almost never play pvp because in my opinion it just isn't as rewarding as pve. I'm almost always in the top 2 when I play crucible. The raid Is harder than crucible
-
Well I kinda disagree on one thing. That's the part on humans being unpredictable. After awhile you end up realizing the general patterns of what people are gonna do when this or that happens.
-
There is actually not much more unpredictability in pvp. Once you learn maps and spawns then you learn where and when everyone will be. There is a limited amount of avenues available. Regardless of the human element, you are still in a programmed system with a finite number of possibilities when in pvp
-
Too bad Destinys PvP is just bleh. Would rather play Halo or Garden Warfare even lol
-
I slightly agree with this. When I played WoW, playing in battlegrounds and arenas gave me an advantage over those who hated pvp and didn't play it. HOWEVER, that did not make me better than them When I was poisoned, I was aware and cleansed myself. When my partner was low on health, I off-healed him to stay in the fight. In pve, I was still very much aware of my surroundings, and when my healers or tanks would falter, I would be able to react to "save the day" or keep a wipe from happening. PvP really just adds another element to your gaming-awareness. With that includes reaction speed. The Crucible rewards you with that, and you take it to Crotas End and finish so easily you forgot what cheese was.

I have seen mandy 'pvp' players fail like a noob at raids. So logic failed. More to pve than kill. You need to think at times too ;)
-
7 Replies1.31 kd is pretty bad for someone who says pvpers > pvers. Im sure there are plenty of people out there who play this game for the pve (which is what this game is supposably meant for) who would give you a run for your money in the crucible, like myself. Think i'm at round 1.9 kd and i really only play it for completing bounties :) Yes i agree with you though, generally pvp requires more skill.
-
Its very simple. Those who play PvP and pve equally will perform better in one or the other when compared to someone who does ONLY one or the other.
-
Edited by The Mannikin: 12/25/2014 10:41:26 AMLol pvpers on avg are terrible at the mechanics of a raid. They aren't patient by nature...(this coming from a player who is competitive in first person shooters) I play both pvp and pve. (I would play pvp much more but my friends don't play it much so I stick with the crowd ). That said, pvpers struggle in pve SOMETIMES. And pvers struggle in pvp SOMETIMES. yeah more times than not a hardcore player in either category is gonna have trouble to some degree in the opposite category. I feel like OP is just trolling in all honesty. But he could be dead serious. In which case I'd say look at my last 5 Rumble matches. The most recent I did terrible, but the 4 before that I went SSJ4. And I play more pve than anything else.
-
I can't be asked with the shit netcode
-
2 RepliesAhh the old "my PvPenis is bigger than your PvEnis" This is an unwinnable argument and has been around since the beginning of online gaming. You might as well argue that god does or doesn't exist
-
Not all human beings are unpredictable,I killed the same person 7 times in a row,he kept running around the same corner where I was camping guarding point B,he should have figured out after the third headshot kill I was waiting for him
-
Pvp master race
-
Nothing to see here folks. Good players are good players. End of story.
-
2 RepliesPvp players = fusion rifles I'm yet to play a pvp match that isn't ruined by the above weapons.. I don't even mind shotguns because you have to be close to kill with one...
