So I have yet to see a good pvp player suck at pve. Pve is the easiest, most repetitive bs in destiny. The crucible truly tests your skills. Those of you who have a crucible phobia, to put it plainly: suck. Those of you who admittedly suck yet still play, I commend you for jumping in the fire.
Keep shooting at bullet sponges and predictable ai and brag about being good. You know you're bad; keep lying to yourself.
EDIT: let's use some logic here people. In pve you have perfect information. You know where, when, how many and what enemies are spawning. Pvp is much different. Human beings are unpredictable, and consequently more challenging to beat. The skill set necessary to do well in pvp translates well to pve--not vice versa. Some one challenge that logic without calling me a retard, cod noob, scrub...etc.
Edit 2: Thanks for the lively debate fellas. Is it possible we keep the keyboard courage to a minimum? If you disagree with me please explain why. I know it's tempting to personally attack me over the internet without consequences, but let's try to be nice.
Edit 3: apparently the community thinks I'm a scrub. Here are some facts: please go to destiny tracker and look up your profile. There's a percentile associated with your stats. I have a 1.31 kd which places me in the 33% percentile. That means my kd is better than 67% of other players. Does that mean I'm good? I don't know. Does that mean I'm a scrub. Most likely not.

I agree. Not that I'm that great. I'm pretty new to crucible. I was pretty intimidated to try it until thanksgiving and now it's my favorite part of the game.
-
Well by your logic then, I'm better than 96% of players... I mainly play PvE though ;)

1 ReplyPvP is based on connection to the server not skill. When they fix that I'm sure all the so called good pvp'ers will complain like the pve'ers complain after a patch
-
5 RepliesEdited by Tomato Gravy: 12/26/2014 4:42:56 AMDestinys pve is good, and unique.... Pvp is meh, and just like 100 other pvp games. So yeah nobody cares

Ya your pve scores suck ha

Edited by Deputy 138: 12/27/2014 8:38:54 AMI don't play PvP. With that said, here is your Level 28 Weekly Nightfall stats: Games: 2 Time Played: 1h 57m 31s Kills: 220 Assists:: 49 Deaths:: 40 K/D:: 5.50 K+A/D:: 6.11 Here are my Level 30 Nightfall stats: (pay attention to the K/D) Games: 2 Time Played: 1h 30m 54s Kills: 135 Assists:: 54 Deaths:: 9 K/D:: 15.00 K+A/D:: 18.00 Now, you where saying what about people who choose not to play PvP again? So if you want to find a good PvP player that sucks at PvE, just go find a mirror.

Edited by JohnnyTooFastToGet: 12/26/2014 8:16:16 PMOne question. Have you beaten VOG on Hard or Crotas End?

1 ReplyPlease fill this form out and return to your nearest Troll Supervisor as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

1 ReplyYes, because that lagfest PvP with nothing but OHK weapons and abilities is a true test of skill. Like when you start hitting a warlock and he jumps up and nova bombs you for the instant kill, he's better than you right? Or when a Bladedancer Hunter just smashes his melee button over and over again somehow killing half the team, he's the best right? Or when a Titan sees someone on his radar and immediately goes for fist of havoc, he's the superior player right? Not to mention the people who use shotguns and fusion rifles the entire game.
-
4 RepliesYou have 2 raid completions. You're a scrub. End of. Nice try though, lol. Move along people, we just have another whiny troll who has zero experience with the hardest content in the game, yet can somehow give his informed opinion on the matter. Literally, are you stupid?
-
PVP is so painfully unbalanced to the point where you can arguably say that it takes hardly any skill.
-
1 ReplyWell every single of my PvP stats shit on yours, so using your logic you have to listen to me and many other people with better stats than me as well. Speak for your self. PvP = PvE Man, people like you make the PvP community look like twats. I have many PvE friends who hate crucible, when they play they can hang for sure. They are both dynamic not static. Respect people play style. Good job on being a subpar PvP tool. You bring shame to those who like PvP

1 ReplyEdited by Mr_Protohype: 12/26/2014 1:43:22 AMI have over a 2.0k/d and think the Crucible sucks. There is no bragging rights because no one cares. Most of the people that play it do it for the Crucible bounties. You cant talk shit to the pve players when you yourself are bad at pvp with a 1.31 k/d. If pvp means that much to you, go play COD or something, ffs.
Top 2% in K/D ratio for Crucible.
-
Actually I find pvp to be the FAR more boring, one dimensional, repetitive side of this game. Never felt the need to post and say PVP players are bad tough.
-
7 RepliesI'm a horrible PvP player, and not a great PvE player. In my experience, PvP players are assholes. Your post illustrates that. You bash on people who don't like the same game mode as you, or aren't as good as you, to make yourself feel better. Your not a scub because of your K/D or what method you use. You're a scrub because you're an asshole.
-
2 RepliesI agree if you can dodge Blade Dancer you can dodge all pve .....
-
There are those who excel in both categories.
-
Obviously PvP requires more skill. There is no debate over this. Memorization is a skill, but after a few trips through the raid or a strike, it becomes easier and easier. PvP isn't predictable. Some players like to congregate in certain parts of the maps, but they don't just stand there. I like both sides of Destiny, but PvP is where you truly test your skills.
-
Go back to COD scrub.
-
I don't care. Also, why did you make this post?

3 RepliesEdited by hungryman: 12/26/2014 3:54:38 AMI play both, and I will say being good at PVP doesn't make you good at PVE all the time. If you look at the below link, I got almost 7000 score in a Control match, which is pretty good. But I am not that good at PVE as I only have a 14.46 K/O ratio(Story) link: http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR/1/4611686018437398754/2305843009227624772/1211309830?_

7 Repliestest it, make 6 pve players play crucible and make 6 pvp players beat both raids, comparing scores on pvp and time on raids
-
Why not both? *mexican music
-
Pvp is easy, thorn>all from experience , unless a very skilled hawkmoon user appears then I take a step back
-
I have good games and bad games in PVP but I just like playing a story and exploring and shit so I play way more PVE
-
4 RepliesI agree. I'm pretty good at PvE. PvP? I only kill people with Pocket Infinity, pulse grenades, and titan smash. I've always been bad at PvP. My friends would make me the party leader in Halo 2 so I would draw in lower level guys for them to dominate. But, PvE is way more fun and challenging.
