Why is 6 strange coins from nightfall a thing?
Seriously, its harder than the weekly heroic right? Shouldnt the nightfall at least give the same or more reward than the less difficult version?? Sorry i just cant even.
Edit: for my 5 coin brothers, why is it a thing too?!
Update: thanks for the bumps guys hopefully bungie sees just how much we hate when nightfall keeps giving us nothing but trash for weeks :)

This nightfall, I got an Ice Breaker, my friend got an Alpha Lupi Crest, and my other friend got six strange coins. But, in the end, we only got one more strange coin than the person who got six... Because we just broke that shit down and got a shard, which costs seven strange coins. Ya dig? Would you rather The Calling which breaks down to two -blam!-ing energies?

While I realize every week can't be as awesome as getting an exotic, the reward should certainly be better than the the heroic weekly as a baseline. in most cases I don't have a problem with the RNG system but in this one little corner of Destiny, Bungie really should consider a tweak.

I got 7 ascendant energy and I'm not entirely sure why that's a thing either. I posted last week that imo of they are going to give shards, energies and strange coins in the nightfall than I'm actually ok with that BUT they should be awarded in very large quantities, maybe 20+. I personally don't really need any more ascendant energy or strange coins but it would be less annoying if, after completing the NF I could say " well I got enough SCs to buy from Xur (and keep my supply going) or I got enough shards from one run that I can upgrade my new legendary helm without problem". Also, they should start awarding radiant mats in NF as well imo.

3 RepliesI agree it should be a minimum amount of 10 or more coins. Why? because the weekly is 9 guaranteed. However bungie should COMPLETELY REMOVE ascendant materials from the nightfall loot table. Almost nobody needs ascendant materials anymore and they are an abandoned currency with a vast oversupply and a quickly shrinking demand. If they insist on keeping them in there, they should at least switch the word "Ascendant" for "UgotSodomizedBy" For instance: UgotSodomizedBy 12 Shards today!

Legendary weapons can be okay too but coins have guaranteed value. One coin gets you five heavy synthesis every now and then. Six coins gets you thirty heavy weapon syntheses. The reason it's six or five or whatever is to be in line with nightfall rewards. Nine from heroic 30 is something you earn. It's like your weekly salary that you get guaranteed so you can get those Xur exotics. Nightfall is like spending some time at the casino. You can win big but generally you're just wasting your time and money. If I had to choose between running nightfall or level 30 heroic, I would absolutely run the heroic every time. But the fun thing is, we can do both!
