Everyone online on many threads seem to have a
Edit: Things are a lot different in America. In the UK 25k a year is classed as a decent income.

30k+ car
6 bedroom house
50"+ TV
£300 headset
Is there any normal working class people on destiny?

If you buy used cars, it's quite easy for someone to quote their car as being what it was brand new (i.e. bought 6K used car, but it was 32K new).

1 ReplyI'm 32 with a wife who doesn't work and 3 kids. I get about £40,000 ($62,000) a year and that covers all our bills and rent with a fair bit left over for saving or holidays. If $100k dollars is not rich you live in an expensive place or spend to much on shit.

100k job Only a three bedroom house at the moment 100k isn't remotely rich. Due to cost of living increase every year more than doubling the average raise most companies get each year, 100k a year today is more like 50,000 was 15 years ago.

Okay technically not online now. I am archaeology student (almost done MA) and I could possibly be in the running for one of the cool jobs, but I am laughably poor, one day maybe I will have one of the higher paying jobs, maybe if I am lucky. Honestly don't care how much people make or what they do, as long as if they play nicely and are awesome (never met a single terrible person in the game).

35-40k, 45 single, modest home and 2 year old Focus. Big ass TV though and couple of skiing holidays a year (nowhere flash) coz I have no kids! Lucky really and very content. I had a good friend in big money high pressure job and he was dead at 35!

I would hardly classify 100K+ a year rich. Average household income for a double income family in Canada is about 90-100K a year. As for myself I'm single (enjoy casual dating more) and when I'm not working long hours, I put hours in on Destiny. A few of the other guys I know making over 200K a year are in the same boat.

I have offers for many jobs starting at 80-90.. That's not rich my friend. I believe the tax cutoff is 250k. That's a better baseline. (Background is nuclear engineering)

1 ReplyI am 38 with a net income of about 88-90k a year. Impressive anywhere else, except in California. Lost a home that I was hopelessly upside down on and moved in with my elderly parents to care for them. Newest car is a 2009 civic for the wife. I drive an 89 mustang coupe. I owe $211.45 in credit card debt. Vacation homes in Mexico and the Philippines. I have to make sacrifices to have nice things.
