Wild legendary engram
Yesterday I was on the moon going to kill some hive 500 to be precise. It was for this exotic bounty of which rewards you with this hand cannon called the thorn. Haven't heard of it? You have been in the dark for too long. Back to this engram I spawn jump on sparrow fly up the hill notice a kill patrol mission under bridge so I grab it. As I'm grabbing it the fallen is spawning out of cave to right the start shooting at me so I take aim with my thorn 2.0 (yes I have a few) I take them all out as there running up the hill. Then in slow motian a purple engram comes rolling down the hill to my feet. I just froze this was my 3rd wild engram since day 1. It was like seeing a the last dragon, or unicorn if you prefer.
After the moment of shock wore off I picked it up was a chest piece. I finished my laps through hellmouth killing hive. The curiousity was killing me so I went back to tower. Decoded this wild engram aaaand I got

Rofl sorry to leave everyone hanging it a little bit of suspense in forums seemed fun. I just got "holdfast type 2" for titan same exact I bought from vanguard day of dlc release.

I was cruising through the nightfall and I shot a vex in its soft spot and a primary legendary popped out turned into shards which doesn't make sense why the hell did it turn into shards and not energy that is pretty random in my opinion

Gratz man ! They do exist , contrary to peoples opinion. I have probably gotten 6-8 since release, with 6 post emgram patch.

Thought one was maybe a pile of heavy ammo. Got energy and some legendary Warlock gloves. Guess I have to make a Warlock.

4 RepliesI got a legendary engram just now, I got leg armour for a warlock. I found it with my hunter. Nothing like collecting the armour I need for my Titan and warlock. I will be all set when I get my other characters to level 20+.

Got my second ever purple engram drop during Earth patroll when Fallen/Hive war broke out. Got new arc machine gun. Meh, clip holds 23 rounds. Gave my maxed 300 Swarm to my alt.

3 RepliesI've had about 3 in the last 2 weeks. Which is more than i got in the previous 3 months.And one turned into Icebreaker,which was nice. Shame then that in the couple of times ive levelled up with the Vanguard since all ive received is Motes of light,strange coins and nasty shaders. And i can only assume it's my bad luck when i desperately need a few Ascendant shards that all i get is ascendant energy for days on end.

It's a magical moment when you see one drop :). So far I've had 4 'wild' legendary engrams. 3 heavy weapons (all ended up as poor rocket launchers) and 1 body...... Shards lol
