In my opinion obviously. I just had more fun play VOG than crota. Crota seems more rushed a more quickly with all these time limits with the sword and the never ending thrall. It just seems like they threw in a ton of baddies and time limits cuz they couldn't think of anything else. I love the VOG though! That's fun! Jumping puzzle, Gorgon lair, killing atheon. All fun!

I agree. Far better raid all around.

Edited by clifftrials: 12/17/2014 11:29:34 PMAgreed. VOG had a variety of strategies you could use for each objective. One of the reasons i loved VOG was that you could play it differently everytime. Crota's End, on the other hand, is very limited in this respect except for maybe the boss fight. I feel that due to this, Crota's End has far less replay value compared to VOG.

5 RepliesVex - Intellect Hive - Strength They have been designed with this in mind.

I agree. I also liked how you transition from one stage to the next in the vog. In CE, you vanish into a white light and get teleported to a different place. Not like in vog where there is a transition from one place to the next where you can explore.

5 RepliesEdited by pontius24: 12/17/2014 3:50:46 PMit's a different style raid because you're fighting a different enemy with different tactics. difference makes the game more enjoyable. if this was vog 2.0 you'd still be complaining.
-
Agreed its just killing stuff and running no jumping puzzles or cool stealth bits like the gorgons
-
Vog the relic is a shield, CE the relic is a sword. enemies in vog are more defensive, while ce enemies are offensive. best sample of this is the templar in vog and the (cursed) thralls rushing with brute force @ u.
-
I agree, I still love vog. Crota is easy up until the final fight
-
I feel like the vault is much more defensive, whereas crota is a lot more offensive and smash and grab
-
The one thing that VoG does so much better than CE is exploring. My favourite part of the Vault is climbing as high as I can and seeing what's up there (nothing ever is).
-
2 RepliesHow? Everyone basically screamed that they wanted a sword as a heavy weapon. Crotas end is pretty darn close.
-
i agree. CE feels more like a strike

5 RepliesEdited by Tekn0z: 12/17/2014 3:50:22 PMI agree 100% I love both the raids but vault of glass will always be special. You cannot be time travel. Like no.
-
Agreed crota lacked in between parts
-
1 ReplyI like VoG more because it actually took a team. As in you couldn't alway choose who got teleported. Also there were two gatekeeper relics so it took more than one relic holder and those holders had to depend on the outside guys to get back out. Just felt like everyone contributed more.
-
3 RepliesAgreed 100%. VoG is fun / hard because of puzzles and objectives. Crota is hard because of two dozen level 32 hallowed knights running around and a button of ogres and wizards. Artificial difficulty does not mean fun
-
7 RepliesCasuals don't like Crota because they can't get carried though. Go back to playing Roller Coaster Tycoon...
-
I disagree, no matter how many times I fight Crota, it will always be enjoyable.
-
7 RepliesYa you loved being able to go through on easy mode, push a few guys over the edge and have the game hand you gear. No raid will ever compare for you.
-
Croata with randoms who don't raid a lot is a long wipe intensive experience. If you get on a good team you can fly through it. I love the rushed feeling of the new raid. They captured the intensity of the hive. While the VOG is very mechanical. What the next raid will be like. The fallen are tough enemies. Will it be waves of dreg with stealth snipers everywhere? Will it be based in a spaceships with tight confined corridors?
-
I like crotas end because of the rush. You have to get things done in a short time, flawlessly or it's a wipe.
-
Everyone who I have talked to said the new raid is awesome and fits the whole theme with the dark below.
-
9 RepliesI loved everything before the Deathwsinger in the raid. Everything else was cool I guess.
-
I agree i did crota for the first time last nite and as much as it took time i feel its alot short thn vog theres not as many steps to complete at all
-
Agreed

3 RepliesI think this is all opinion. I like both raids, they are both a completely different playstyle. VoG is more of puzzles and finding the secrets to be legend. Crota is all about being a brute, fighting off hordes of the hive, don't be overrun, can you survive the onslaught? Anyways they were both fun, haven't beat Crota yet =(. Can't find A Group who is talented enough to beat him.
