Hardlight actually wrecks in the new dlc strikes and missions. I literally mow through hordes of thralls and Acolytes with ease. You should get it and use it and level it up, I think you will be surprised, especially after the buff it got a couple weeks ago.

Well I would like to get it just cause I love how it looks but my main focus is leveling characters and giving them gear then doing the nightfall again, delete character, make new, level, give gear nightfall delete etc. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks straight and have done the nightfall and received rewards about 20 times and I still have not gotten breaker or ghorn I always get some stupid faction weapon I already have. :( Destiny can be a very cruel mistress.
