the new strike is so.... -blam!-ing..... stupid. for those who havent played it it is obscene the amount of enemies you have to kill. its at lleast 4 times the length of any other strike solely due to the amount of spawns you have to face. i will be leaving the strike playlist any time this one comes up in future

1 ReplyI was looking for a long story, some kind of special training to get you ready for the Raid Just more bounties and not many new areas makes this a FAIL Even the new skins on weapons look cheap Was the Raid really the DLC?
-
It's probably the funnest strike to run simply because of the sheer amount of enemies.
-
... I like it more because the boss isn't a ballet sponge if you have 2 guys kill the enemies and one shooting the boss you beat it in a like 30 seconds
-
-
Youre complaining about having to shoot enemies in an FPS. wut
-
I thought that was the fun part
-
2 RepliesI think you're in the minority here. The new strike is great, and actually challenging.
-
Omnigul? I like this strike
-
I feel like the high number of enemies made it better. More action, less dinklebot bs.
-
I love this strike. It's really fun actually.
-
Honestly love the hell out of this strike lol
-
Nah its the same length in enemies killed. It just happens in about a fifth of the distance. It's like jogging around New York vs. Ascending the Empire State Building on foot. Same effort, radically different distance, both leave you exhausted, only one feels meaningful.

2 RepliesI had a mighty fine time doing the nightfall with my friends. Many laughs were had on Tuesday.
-
I find it obnoxious myself. I was under the impression we asked for better boss mechanics, not more adds to add artificial difficulty. I guess maybe if you have Necrochasm or something and can just spray and watch the explosions...
-
Good glimmer farm and place to do bounties and rank weapons and gear up. I like it.
-
It's what makes it fun and challenging to some degree.
-
4 RepliesYour just to crappy of a player to beat it

7 RepliesEdited by PROCK7: 12/11/2014 2:21:27 AMI agree with OP that this strike is crap and I feel imaginative design in only having you be harassed to a fine art. The normal strike is boring and unnecessarily long with two zones reused and split with normal patrol zone in between you have to cross so you go from shooting level 20+ enemies to 6 as you transition. Then you add the over done amount of enemies. Ugh. What I'll really speak about is nightfall and how I hate this one the most. More than hell mouth. The nightfall and weekly are ridiculous with one KNOWN safe spot with the whole area designed to limit your line of sights. You have two entrance/exits into the room with the boss. However there are multiple boxes and pillars to keep from getting a decent and consistent shot on the boss who is a remodeled wizard swinging back and forth like a drunk Tarzan. In fact when you try to move up to get a decent shot you will notice that when you scramble back for cover the boxes will funnel/block you getting back easy often resulting in death. Making matters worse are the "strategically" placed spawn points for mobs to harass you. One is a knight that spawns one right above one of the entrance/exits and he can spam mortar shots in and you can't get an easy shot on him as his rounds arc into the doorway. The next "strategically" placed spawn point that spills right behind the two entrance/exits into the boss room. It consists of try cursed thralls moving behind you and unless you keep checking behind you, then you will die. Bottom line this is basically a bullet sponge in a box designed to make it hard for you to hit the bulletin sponge while you stay moving to get killed in the doorway. Now I said "known" safe spot as it seems to be the go to strategy. I know others like running and hopping around but it doesn't seem entertaining. Just obnoxious.

I like all the new missions and strikes especially the new ps4 strike it's fun as hell.
-
Whatever, I'm loving it. Immensely. A great way to upgrade your gear.

3 RepliesIt appears they have finally made a strike with no cheese methods. You can't see the boss from the 'safe room' but all the adds can see and get to you fine. Add in the spawns behind you to the one outside the door and you have a real fight. I do agree though, they have replaced innovative design with an endless of variety of adds that all need different weapons to take out and added health to the boss. Onmigul has an arc shield but spawns solar wizards? Making it so the only way to hit the boss is to expose yourself to multiple one hit kill enemies in a tiny room does not make it hard, it makes it annoying. A strike with an interesting boss mechanic like the VOG or CE would be a nice change instead of using 5 synthesis' worth of ammo every time followed by a ghost interaction.
-
I disagree, it does have a stupid amount of spawns, but damn is it FUN!!! And the last room with Omnigul is really well done. We had a blast playing both the NF and Weekly. Best strike yet by far.
-
This is the funnest strike I've ever played! How can it not be? This is the only strike where I don't have to wait for Dinklebot's dumb ass to open a door he would originally open in a second.
-
Maybe you should march into Bungie's office and school them.
-
Umm I don't know what strike your playing but the new one is the best strike yet... #noobforever

What I find stupid about it is this strike is essentially the Warmind mission in reverse. And you're fighting Hive instead of fallen. Can't say I'm surprised. This is a tactic Bungie has used since at least Halo CE, but c'mon man...
