I would rather look like a badass in combat instead of wearing gear just for stats. What do you guys think? I've meet other players who just want to get to 30 but dont wear what they like. Also they should make shaders for sparrows. EDIT They could invent some kind of vanity slot
EDIT: Wow this post is getting popular Keep on commenting I enjoy your responses

Totally, my Hunter is still 29 because all the old pre-DLC raid gear looked like crap.
-
That's why I bought a Suros a while back

Edited by SgtTaco: 12/15/2014 1:13:22 AMYup, I miss the way my Titan looked at level 10-15ish

I agree with you lol. Looks > stats
-
I love the akam whatever spine hunter gloves even though the perks aren't great. When farming, patrols, pvp I'll wear for looks. Just wear my Lvl 31 stuff for raiding
-
I don't buy armor, there is no need to buy armor in this game. Not saying you can't or shouldn't but raid gear ftw
-
Kind of? I liked the vanguard gear, plus it has scout stats, so it worked out! I use icebreaker mostly now so special weapon stats don't really effect me much

2 RepliesINSPECT MY TITAN.. HE LOOKS LIKE THE MAN I WANTED HIM TO LOOK..

I've worn the ahamkara gauntlets since week 2 when I got them from nightfall. Love em and won't trade em in!!

Titan vanguard armor with the fur <3. It looks hella good imo

2 RepliesI bought the exotic engram due to excess of motes of light, received obsidian mind, looks awesome. I would wear what you like. No point being high level if you look silly. One thing that bothers me about bungie is their total lack of grasp on what people like as far as armor looks. I would rather wear gear from level 3 if it had the same stats as some of the legendary stuff.

2 RepliesYour an idiot...

1 ReplyI kept my vog raid gear for the looks. But I usually wear my 31 gear.
-
I wouldn't go so far as to say I buy armor for the looks. But I definitely don't use armor if it looks ugly, even if it's the best statistically. I like my characters to look unique, and I think they do.

8 RepliesWell have a full set of raid gear and tower gear tower gear looks better with iron banner million million
-
Ugh, I have to admit I do that. Since I mostly play PvE, good armor stat wise is a bit hard to come by.
-
Oh man if I did that I sure wouldn't have bought the new Vanguard warlock chest piece. I kept my Queen's Guard Robes, I miss seeing that symbol on my back.
-
1 ReplyStyle over substance always haha, if not both, is awesome when you can have both. And yea, reskined sparrows would be nice, the flame motif on the new DLC stunt bike just makes me think that Bungies target market is 12 year olds.

Edited by Argonaut101: 12/13/2014 5:33:50 PMLOL . Just no. I don't have a single clue what any of my armour looks like. In fact I'd go as far to say i've NEVER even looked at it.
-
Oh my god, I thought I was the only one.
-
This just made me realize that I did this subconsciously. Warlock 1 for looks Warlock 2 for light Titan for playstyle
-
Its a damn shame we cant just change the look of the armor while keeping the stats.
