You know vendor items plus one exotic got you to 29 before right? One below max rank New raid stuff goes to 32. So i don't get what you're complaining about?
-
Worry about your own gear not everybody else's! I'm 31 with vanguard/faction gear now. My full set of raid gear is now in the vault forever. I had my use out of it and I really don't care if others less successful or less lucky in the last raid can now get to my level as it really doesn't affect what I want to do in the game. Just because you play more than some it doesn't give you a right to have better gear than others.

-blam!- this. Impeach bungie

Checked your score and raid stats. You have 5 raid completions. No offence dude but you dont know other peoples pain. I dont think your in a position to make this post. On the flip side I kinda agree. I reckon some radiant shards should have ben able to get old raid gear to level 31

Yes, I always was and AM a great defender of this game. But the ways they are handling this, just leaves a bad taste.
-
I see what you're saying. I probably completed the raid 20 times, 12 on hard mode. And I feel like it was a lot of work getting to lvl 30, like it was earned somewhat. So to have armor now sold that makes all of my raid armor obsolete is a slap in the face to a point. I don't really care that everyone can get it, I care that I spent so much time getting it and now I have to start over. It makes the game less appealing to me now. I will still play the game but not nearly as much. What's the point? 2 months from now I'll have to start all over.

Whoever is bashing this guy's opinion and is saying "get over it" is way out of line. He is right! Every hour spent grinding to get to 30 is now in vein... Let me explain. Let's say "Ted" has had Destiny since the release, and he has played the game for a few hours every day... He has completed the hard raid multiple times, and (after coming up empty handed consistently thanks to the garbage RNG) scored his last piece of raid gear and weapons. He has all the desired loot, and has spent countless shards and energies to max his loot out. Now enters "Fred". Fred purchased the game in mid October. He has played here and there, and managed to get to LVL 20 pretty quick. He's had some time to earn marks, and he also scored a couple pieces of raid gear during his whopping 3 times through the normal raid. He also spent a few shards leveling his raid armor, but not many. All Fred has to do is buy a couple pieces of Vanguard armor and he will have reached the same "level" as Ted- who has busted his a** to get to level 30. That is the OP's complaint. He has pointed out a legitimate flaw in the game here. This game is not nearly old enough to allow new players to achieve the same ranks as the veteran players (who have grinded all in vein). I (along with many of my friends) found myself extremely pissed off when we discovered the fact that every weapon and piece of armor we worked hard for was now worth nothing. If you do not feel the same way- fine. But there are plenty of people that are upset by this unfortunate development.

Only thing I don't agree with is not uping the defense on the Vault of Glass gear and damage on weapons. Weapons are still semi useful, but the gear now is a joke. It is really too bad. I started in October, really just started doing the Vault and was looking forward to getting the gear. Now I can just buy; level 30 today. Anti-climactic really.

31 is the new 29. The vanguard gear helped you get to one below the cap and it has stayed that way. Deal with it.

1 Reply33 is the max actually

How about this why dont you raid for gear then brag to every one how awsome you are an skip lv31 that way you wont have the shame of wearing VENDOR" armor. Or you could get over your self enjoy the game or play something that caters to you how does that sound sweetie pie?
-
Stop crying, when the game came out vendors armor got you to 29, one lvl lower than raid gear and its the same with this
-
This is more of a complaint rather than an opinion tbh lol.
-
I knew this would happen and you should have too. Its how they set up the game. Top lvl is raid gear only which is now 32, top solo lvl is 1 less 31... Just like before when it was 29 and 30. Its how games work you give solo people ways to progress and raiders ways.
-
RNGesus does not bless all so be grateful for what you got.
-
Just wait tell a few months from now when the NEXT dlc comes out and it's the exact same thing all over again.
-
How is this new. When lvl cap was 30 Vendor gets you to 29. It's been bumped to 32 so vendor gear gets you to 31
-
YOU CLEARED THE RAID 3 TIMES Seriously you worked hard to get to lvl 30 what a load of crap! I have cleared the raid 3 times in one day and completed the raid 20 times and still didnt reach lvl 30. So hell yes I am glad they sold me gear to help me get into the next raid. GET GUD NOT LUCKY SCRUB

10 RepliesYou worked hard and feel like the game owed you. You are looking at wrong. You got to experience the game. You raided. You got drops. Now you can go right into the next raid. New players, unlucky players, casual players, can purchase equipment to catch up and try the new content. There is nothing wrong that. 1. The game doesn't owe you shit. 2. Other people's experience shouldn't affect yours. 3. Play the game or don't. You "worked at getting level 30" so I can assume you enjoy the game. 4. Did you get to level 30 to "be better than the rest?" Or did you do it to advance and progress? 5. This comment created derision because your attitude is poor.

Nice how you said you were done posting 19 edits ago. Stick to your guns man.

I find it sad that people like you explode with anger and hatred when you're not the best in the game.
