Idc. You got you gear the way you wanted to/ is more convenient to yourself. I will welcome anyone to a raid group as long as you are on reasonable lvl. I'm not gonna bully someone based on how they got there gear.
Some people need to get there heads out of there asses and grow up. Seriously.

I don't know why people are so crazy about this stuff? Anyone who plays mmo type games know that people skip levels eventually. Eg I played dc universe for a long time. When I first started I was a year behind so there was a lot of content my friends showed me how to skip certain tiers to get to the high level content. It's just the way it is. As people are saying some people don't have the time to throw hundreds of hours into the game. Myself I have issues getting into the vog as all my friends ever play is cod or fifa so I have to rely on trying to get a group on the forums. And even that is not a easy feat as no one likes a noob on there team now days. Just let people play this game however they like as long as they enjoy it who cares it's not ruining your experience of the game is it? You still had the hours of fun in vog and eagerly waiting to see what drops you got or not?

3 RepliesSeriously, people saying that "you got your gear from the tower so you dont get to raid" is a load of crap. I just replaced my raid armor with a set of tower gear because its better. Already 1/2 way through lvl 30 and only the helmet left to upgrade.

I am currently equipped with a mix of raid gear and vender gear. I was hoping to be unique for a bit before we all end up looking the same again to max our levels.

As someone who couldn't play the VOG enough to get full raid gear (all I have is greaves) this vendor gear is the only way I can level up higher in order to do the new raid. And plus I like how it looks

Got the Vanguard legs and chest, and the updated arms from New Monarchy for Hunter #1. Now all I need is for Xur to let me update Knucklehead Radar and she'll be level 31 by this time next week. Hunter #2 got a new helm, and all I need for him is the arms and legs, no commendation needed, and an Alpha Lupi update. Sorted.

4 RepliesIf there wasn't a way to get to 31 this Raid would take much much longer to complete. Bungie took a lot of grinding away from both current and new players with this move. Instead of having to wait every week for raid gear and mats to get to 32, one can easily amass vanguard marks and commendations when compared to raid grinding. It is well known that a team of 6 30s has yet to complete the raid. 1 31 was required by the best clans/players who have beaten it. That means for average players multiple 31s will be needed. Probably at least 2, but having 4 or more would make the final fight much easier. By offering this gear for sale, it offers a short cut to beating this raid (when thinking about all the attempts you will need to get the raid gear and mats), and floods the community with higher level players making teammate searches quicker.

I have raid gear, IB gear and tower gear. I get whatever is good and looks cool. Except for the raid helmet, RNGesus is yet to bless me with that.

I have 150 shards from running VOG so much, why wouldnt i buy it and level it all up on my 3 characters while i sort my raid gear !?!?!?

Fake lvl 30... haha! Admittedly I was pissed off when my mate shot to lvl 30 and I got left behind on lvl 29. He did tonnes of hard raids and I did not so I feel he deserved his better gear and higher level. I finally managed to get the VoG raid gloves last week and started creeping up to 30. Yesterday I reached Crucible rank 3 and used the commendation to buy a lvl 31 helmet and bought lvl 31 boots from the vanguard. Don't see how me buying gear from vendors make me scrub because I faked my way passed lvl 30... Played Crota raid last night and the lvl 30 guys with maxed out VoG died just as much (some more) than me and I was a lvl 29 noob/scub/whatever. I could not care less what some idiots on these forums think of me. [b]ps: Did VoG last week on normal and a lvl 30 "vet" did not know how to get past the jumping section before entering the fault![/b]

And looking at the once inferior players getting to high levels so easily they see no other option but to qualify them as fakes and not real due to them not going through the raid and still getting to level 30 and beyond the hard way. Don't worry haters. I already got ya'll covered! I have completed 18 raids. 3 of which were on hard mode. I am sitting at lvl 28 right now because I bought Tower gear that is better than raid's. I have 3 Titans. I suck at crucible. My stats are awful. I am a scrub that buys gear to reach high levels. I already attempted the new raid and only made to Crota (That son of a beetch is mad hard to kill). Please collect my tears boo boo.

Now I just need Xur to sell the trade-in for either of my exotic helmets and my full set of VoG gear will be obsolete. Hopefully I'll be ready at 31 for the new Raid on Friday when my friends and I plan to attempt it for the first time. I'd rather try it out with as high a level as I can. Don't care what anyone else thinks because I know I'll be helping my team out by having a higher defense than what level 30 offers.

I agree I was lvl 30 before dlc, but my team doesn't want to raid till later in the week, why wouldn't I want to get to 31 before then if I have a chance.

5 RepliesBought arms, hit 30, don't even feel bad. I have done vog a bunch of times (about 10 maybe, I'm not saying I'm hard-core but that's 2 months of raids) on both modes and could not get arms. Got praetorian foil, VoC, epilogue and chatterwhite up the wazoo but couldn't hit 30 so I'm glad for this new gear. Plus now we can all wear gear that actually suits our playstyle instead of being 30clones
