Aparantly the hard mode raid is not available till january 2015.

Edited as the weapons and gear can drop on normal as it has bern pointed out to me.
My point i was trying to make was the delay to hard mode ......... its just ploy to keep ppl playing nothing more

3 RepliesI'm not sure where you're hearing your facts from, but it's been confirmed that the raid weapons get dropped in the hard version of the raid not normal which is good because it keeps little -blam!-ers from cheesing or cheating their way through the raid. 80% of the vex owners today cheesed atheon and didn't really earn their gun so fighting Crota without any glitches or issues and earning the next best weapon in the game is a great idea. Raid gear still drops in normal though and I'm guessing the head piece or one piece drops in hard only just like in VOG

10 RepliesI think it's because so they can release it exploit free. Look at how many people have vex because of atheon cheese. 90% of the vex owners still can't do atheon on hard legit.

There's no better testing ground than a community of 3 million playing at the same time, no QA team even comes close to simulating those variables. Also gives you enough time to get gear for HM, so the complaints regarding "Boo effin hoo, everything kills me with one shot" are minimal.

All the raid primary guns are only dropped in hard mode, that's been confirmed by Bungie. I'm also going to guess that the helmet or another piece of armor is only going to be dropped during hard difficulty as well.

The delay makes sense. Given this style of MMO/shooter, Boss Fights are a joke. People find a way to cheat so the delay gives them time to figure out the cheat spots and fixem as best they can before the really good loots. I'd call it cheese but I actually like cheese and refuse to equate it with CHEATING. Or is it a metaphor for easy? Hmmm...Cheese....Eeeeeasy? I dunno, back to work *flies into window*.

It's likely that they are adding a bit of extra "challenge" to the strike. I think they're going to watch how players wreck up on the normal mode and add stuff to ruin your good time on the hard version a few weeks later. It actually makes a fair degree of sense, outside of the hamster wheel argument (which is also valid).

4 RepliesIt's probably to keep things fair ensuring there aren't ppl running around on day two with the best stuff. Probably also to see what cheese methods the community finds so they can fix them for hard mode so a bunch of ppl who really shouldn't have gotten a particular weapon don't.

Oh also the chances of u even getting all the needed gear for light level 32 in 3 weeks of raiding the new raidbi highly doubt would happen unless you're very lucky and the new raidbis level 33 higher then the max light cap

The chances of you getting to the level requirement, for hard mode before its released, is almost impossible! So ask urself do u think that u are even good enough to challenge hard mode under (witch I highly doubt),leveled its barely possible in vog so just stop!!!
