Not for the first time I've just finished a Vanguard Tiger strike with some absolute cnt who will stand and wait for the other 2 of us to clear each section, then follow along afterwards and wait outside the next section til we clear it. The strike took about 25 minutes when it would have taken 10 or less with the 3 of us playing properly. So what's the point? What benefit is there? It's a false economy, drawing a strike out so that you don't have to put any effort it. It's the action of a retard.
I just stood there for 30 seconds punching him and shooting him with The Vex Mythoclast once the boss died. He was dancing, so he clearly knew how much of a nob he was being and reveled in it.
All I can think is that they are doing it to easily earn the 'Finish a srike without dying bounty'
Well i just got that bounty with just the two of us. So if you suck that much that you can't get it without inacivity throughout the whole strike then you don't deserve to play. Infact you deserve to die, for being so shite at a game. fking Amateurs.
Hope they never put matchmaking on the Raid and I hope they remove matchmaking from everything except the multi.
Having said that, doing it all via Destiny LFG the same thing can happen. The other day I was in a Raid and somebody quit a team of level 30's after the first chest. There is too much focus on Co op. Bungie, get to work on some AI bots. This is the issue that'll eventually stop me playing if it's not sorted.

Get on your sparrow and kill him
-
1 ReplyI give someone threes seconds to get on their sparrow before i kill them with mine
-
-blam!- that, kill them with your sparrow until they leave or help (I have a vid of this on my upload) I frequently throw on some white gear to be 21 and switch back to 30 once it matches me with some people I can help clear it 3 times faster. Though I have been guilty of actually being afk, forgetting strikes have matchmaking lol

4 RepliesThis shit has been happening since day one and still nothing has been done about it. I'll repeat what so many others have said: Implement a way to have a 2 vs 1 vote to kick a player. It's as simple as that!
-
When this happens, I just sit my character down, and run a bath.
-
I have not encountered this. I have had people bounce back to orbit if they die. You know who you are, dick.
-
6 RepliesLove to see the "strike without dying" replaced with "most kills in a strike." That would take care of it. That said, I drop if someone isn't actually going to play.
-
What's worse is someone killed me 2 times with a tank. Maro48, hey buddy, get bent.
-
If ever, I see Randy's afk at the start I continue ahead, kill myself in a dark zone and if they still continue to do nothing- sit down in front of them and do sh*t on my phone until they leave or start killing. LOL
-
I played through a tiger strike with two randoms one afk the other was helping out and at the end we both got rare engrams and he got Patience and Time with zero kills. I was extremely angry.

5 RepliesWanna know what I hate more? doing a nightfall by yourself and just a few mins before you kill the boss, someone on your friends list joins, gets an exotic and leaves without saying anything while I did all the hard work and get a few coins... now I have my fire team set to invite only. But yeah, these pretending to be AFK fags in strikes need their heads caved in with a cinder block.

I totally agree with you. I have taken to Blocking people on XBL if I see them doing it. At least I won't have to play with them again. Reporting them to Bungie as "unhelpfull" or such likely does nothing.. And it's annoying as hell that Bungie continually closes "holes" that don't fit in with their idea of how your supposed to do a strike (i.e. the Archon Priest - hiding under the Deck) or Raid (cheesing Templar etc.), but won't address situations where people are riding another players coat tails and doing nothing.
-
4 RepliesOptions, report, inactivity. I guarantee you in the next few minutes, someone at bungie will pull up his screen, if he's been inactive they'll kick him. I do it all the time for people who "actively afk" in the crucible. Those people who stay away from everyone. They still move, they're just tanking a spot on the team. If they're obviously being a douche, they'll get kicked. Trust me on this one.

It's funny I've seen this complained about since day dot. I have never had it happen to me. It could be luck or the times I play but I haven't seen it once.
-
I hate these people to but I read somewhere that if you flag them then with time they'll all get paired together and then be stuck watching a still picture of the other players lol
-
Actually i dont really care if they do that, i play strikes beacuse i want to kill enemies and if i can solo the nightfalls i can do the vanguard tiger as well.
-
I always get up to a darkness zone and turn around. If they aren't moving at all, I go backwards and run them into a wall with my sparrow or I die in the darkness zone and bring them forward (especially if they are farming out front instead of playing the strike). If you started the playlist you are agreeing to playing it, if you go AFK during it you can't complain when people kill you or get you killed by mobs.
-
4 RepliesIf it takes 25 minutes for 2 of you to a strike (even with the difficulty of enemies for 3) then that's you're fault. I've soloed through the nexus with 2 AFK teammates somewhere between 10 min. Granted, it was the shortest strike, but my point remains: just suck it up and get it over with. Speed runs will still get the job done quickly, and you'll waste more time trying to get them out/dead if you just would have gone ahead and beat it. After the strike leave the fireteam and search again. Keep repeating until you find 2 others who will actually play.
-
Death by sparrow... Any one that is inactive in my game will get reported then die at the hand of my sparrow
-
Summon your sparrow. Crush him into a wall. Laugh as he quits.
-
It never bothered me before, but lately I've decided it's too much fun to try to kill afk'ers with my sparrow or pushing them off the map. I have more fun spending 15 minutes doing that than I do with the strike. This is my new hobby.
-
Was playing a strike with a friend when we noticed a random was hanging back not shooting anything. After we finished the strike the devils lair loaded up and he was doing the same thing. I then took my sparrow and smashed him into a wall. Me and my friend then began to tbag him mercilessly until he backed out. That's how you deal with afk/campers
-
When the strike starts, you speed off in your sparrow and turn around to see someone is idle. Its funny how they instantly start moving when you return to them and start hovering in front of them with your sparrow.
-
Run them over with your sparrow , always makes me feel better
-
2 RepliesYou have 2 level 30s.... You don't need to worry about 1 person being afk. *facepalm*
