A simple question to all folks who play this game. Why did you choose your class? What made you feel like that was the class for you? Do you still have it or do you rather another class since launch?.
I myself started off in the beta by choosing a hunter because I thort that they looked cool but due to an issue in the beta I had to delete 2 hunters because they were unplayable due to an issue on bungies end so I tried a Titan and had the same issue.
My last option was a warlock & since the day the game launched I have used all classes. But the night I finally got my game the warlock was my first and main choice and I haven't regretted it since. 3 months later after launch she's still sitting at the top of my 3 characters as a level 30 holding her vex mytho and looking like a badass.
That's my story now what's yours?

Edited by TheDoomrider: 12/7/2014 11:26:02 PMI played as an awoken Warlock in the Beta. My choice was based upon the look of the outfit the warlock was presented with... an awesome looking coat and helmet caught my attention... played the Beta for over 20 hours and loved my warlock and on Launch I recreated that exact same character as my main ;) I was impressed with the abilities of the warlock being a space mage that made me think a little about star wars (the force is strong in me). After the Raid came out with shitty drop rates I created a second Warlock to double my chances to get the raid gear and I love playing as both. Later after seeing all the cool wolf armor pieces of the Hunter my 3rd character became a hunter and is all about the Wolf ;) But the Warlock is forrever the master! And I can't wait for the Iron Banner to sell the Warlock wolf robe! My Hunter is more like just sitting there looking cool, but My main Warlock is the master that I always play as ;) As a final reminder of warlocks... COATS!!!!!! YEAH!

I always prefer roguish classes in games with RPG elements. Speed, precision, and misdirection are my preferred tools, and Hunter was the class that offered them to me.
-
I picked Hunter as my first character pretty much just because they have capes. I have all 3 characters now, 29 hunter/titan and a 7 warlock, hunter is still my favorite and warlock is by far my least favorite which is why I havent bothered getting my warlock up to 20;
-
i chose the warlock because you can come back from the dead ready to fight again, this is especially helpful in VOG and the weekly strikes etc. But i also like the hunter (mostly because of the throwing knife and the invisibility). But then again the voidwalker is very helpful in P V P and P V E because it can be fired from a distance.

I never went for edgy rouge types in games, always too overdone or just not my type. But I grabbed hunter to be a dashing space cowboy.
-
I made my Hunter because of how much I loved Mordecai in the first Borderlands, and I was hoping for a similar playstyle. It didn't pan out that way, and I'll probably be primarily playing my Warlock in TDB, but I still like the class.
-
I've always gone for Assassin/DPS type classes in RPGs. I assumed that's what hunters were.
-
I like playing as either a Tank, or a rogue class, but I went for Hunter because: Knives cloaks Hand Cannons cloaks invisibility CLOAKS sniping CLOOOAAAAKSSSS HNNNNG!
-
Titan I picked the titan because I enjoy being the tank and it is the least chosen class. I also chose titan so that when people in Crucible saw my titan and they would think that I suck because I'm playing the minority of the classes, I release a can of whoop ass on them. Lastly, their armor looks awesome.

Things.. Punch things... Be Titan.. Punch more...

Like you I chose a hunter in the beta and that's the only class i played in the beta so i never knew how the other classes were like , i thought hunters looked dope and wanted to be all stealthy and shit so that's why I chose it during the beta. Anyway launch comes i download the game and I'm about to create my hunter although earlier i watched the trailer thing and it showed warlocks using their space magic and it looked pretty sick so i ended up making one.
-
Warlock I wanted magic. I now have magic hands...wait, that didn't turn out right. Er, space magic..let's go with that.
-
My first character was a Titan. Just because I thought they looked bad ass lol. I created a Warlock and Hunter later on and my Warlock is level 30...well she will be after I get all my damn shards.
-
Was going to be a Warlock but changed my mind at last minute to a Hunter, have no reason why just did.

Edited by TitansDogma: 12/7/2014 8:53:49 PMI picked the titan ever since i saw it while watching more console do info updates in the long months up to destiny beta and release. it is by far my favorite class in both looks and play style.
-
Picked Warlock since this games announcement... For it was Magic and FPS yes please lol and I love my Warlock so badass
-
Hunter for the cape :P

In the beta I just loved the idea of the Warlock. After getting the game I made warlock, hunter, and titan in that order. I must say, I prefer the titan. Love that bubble for pve and fist of havoc for PvP. I have like 4 days on warlock, 4 days on hunter, and like 13 days on my titan lol.

Edited by MunkeezFlickPoo: 12/7/2014 8:13:24 PMMost games I play I like the stealthy, get in and out quick class with the high risk, high reward. But only one class was on my mind after seeing the first official gameplay trailer and that was a Warlock. The beta came and I had no doubts who to pick, struggled more on deciding the race really. Got Destiny on launch day and picked a Warlock again haven't looked back although I am playing Hunter at the moment cause of all the hype about them. Titans I am yet to test not sure I want to

Hunter. I'm never the tank or 'magic user' type class, so the Hunter lined up with my preference perfectly. Both subclasses fit my play style as well, and I fell in love with it immediately in the beta. For less practical purposes, their armor and class items look the best, IMO. Also, the Hunter has the best female character model, so ya'know, there's that. ;p

Edited by Kemmin: 12/7/2014 7:49:49 PMHunter seemed like the most natural choice, and what the majority of survivors would have been if there was a great collapse and people had to live in the wild. I chose it because it seemed the most... "Realistic" in the game world. Also the cape.
-
Two words: space magic
-
I like being magical.
-
Titan. Because fists.
