Just after seeing a few whiney posts about it, figured I'd just lay this out there because its true...its one of the best and most balanced PvP modes in awhile, nothing ever really feels OP, because there's always ways to strike back. Since September I've played crucible daily for hours, its my go to shooter for matches.
The beauty Is every weapon feels pretty good and all have their own spin. You can smash face with ARs, Fusions, scouts, HCs, shotties.... I love how each weapon feels fairly different and allows for plenty of styles. I just recently moved into fusions and scouts and both are becoming favorites. I'll always be an AR/shotty guy but this game is making me playing different styles because of how much variation there can be in weapons.
I jut figured in a sea of complaints I'd toss this out because I wasn't really thinking I'd PvP a lot when destiny was still on its way and I've become hooked to the crucible. Also with the way Halo MCC is a total disaster, its made me appreciate crucible that much more. Bungie shows they are the master of fun PvP.
Who else has found it to be one of the best newer pvps?

It would be if there was less lag

7 RepliesBest newest PvP...... Praper engrish stronk wit dis fella rit hare

Agreed. Everyone just has to play the damn game and get better at it instead of crying for everything that kills them. I get pissed but when some ridiculous attack killed me like a laggy melee battle I need to get over it and just learn the way of the crucible. And bungie servers ._.

1 ReplyI like it a lot too. Better than CoD and titanfall. I would like more large maps and 10v10 teams
-
5 RepliesAlthough it is decent, I personally hate it. Mainly because it really didn't offer anything new, has minor balancing issues, and a lack of game modes.
-
1 ReplyWhile gameplay wise I think its one of the best and fun, Its also one of the worst in terms of game modes. There is essentially only two game mode which is TDM and DM.
-
1 ReplyI agree this pvp is a breath of fresh air. The thing I don't really like is playing the same map 4+ times in a row lol
-
1 ReplyNah it's fun. But waaaaaaay too many 1 hit kills
-
1 ReplyLol the crucible is the most balanced in that the most skilled cannot outplay the noobs like they should.
-
lol no it's not. You defiantly haven't play competitive because this PvP isn't even in a MLG ranking. I don't think it's balanced either. (Not saying that CODs more balanced right now because AW is not.) anyways I don't want to be offensive or anything. Hope you enjoy it
-
2 RepliesI personally enjoy it, I dont play it much but when I do i have fun. Coming from an old school fps player, my first fps was DOOM back in the day, then on to quake, counterstrike, etc. I think its a breath of fresh air in the fps genre. Yea its not perfect no fps is, but I do find it fun. Every fps you play has OHK methods and multiple ones at that or nearly instant kill methods, not sure why so many are blasting this games pvp for it, not like its a new thing its just in different forms.

6 RepliesOnly scrubs that's into cod don't like it. I tried to give cod a shot & everyone was running around with 2 shot weapons? Lol that's good pvp to you? Mind you they were considered regular weapons. In destiny it takes more than just shooting someone & for the player's saying good KD player's camp you have no idea what you're talking about lol most of them just play with other people or make good use of the secondary weapons. If you let someone camp you're terrible.

I agree , +1.
-
Agreed. I love the pvp most in this game as well.
-
If hardly call it the most balanced at the moment, but eventually I imagine it will be. I can say it's probably the most fun to play though
-
5 RepliesUhhhh Crucible is just Halo multiplayer with some tweaks and supers. Oh wait you're on the PS. You might not have ever played Halo before.
-
5 RepliesBest ? Tf you smoking its the most broken piece of shit
-
1 ReplyI really believe that this game along with every call of duty since black ops 2 has degenerated into a sport of "trophy of you participate" pvp's. Supers don't need kills to generate. One hit kills, one hit grenades, and shields are what made it this way for Destiny. A shield in pvp should be part of your skills tree that forces you to select from speed, recovery or shield with significant differences in each. Supers should be kill or assist based Grenades that one hit kill can't have a tracking or proximity assist. Then we can start talking about the best

103 RepliesOut of your mind, pvp is garbage no skill. Nothing but shottys and specials
-
Agreed. I usually get the yearly CoD installments and and always max prestige. This year I got AW but didn't like it at all and honestly haven't gone back in a long time. Destiny just has my attention now and even though I do suck at PvP, I love it.

1 ReplyHonestly could care less of one's interpretation of "balanced", but I am always having fun playing crucible. Rumble matches are basically an automatic win for me lol.
-
4 RepliesI haven't enjoyed a game this much since Halo 3. While I have to disagree that it is properly balanced I still find it really enjoyable.
-
1 ReplyUmm it's CoD with new weapons and shields hate it! Hate me XD
-
8 RepliesIt would be great to play without the Radar, I have adapted to it, but it means players are forever kneeling and sliding around.... The Heavy ammo drops and supers are a PITA and serve mostly to give cheap kills. the maps are gear totally to super twitch kids The worst thing of all though it being pitted again people who have hundreds of hours of PVP playtime while I have maybe 3 hours plus or minus ...... I mean -blam!- give me a chance to learn the ropes....
-
1 ReplyYeah, it's definitely not balanced. But Bungie has made strides to even out the battle field, the recent update made a lot of weapons finally viable in the Crucible and toned down a few. It saddens me that it is taking this long for them to sort this out as they were the makers of Halo, the game which I feel had the perfect balance, but I understand that this is still fairly new to them, the whole bring your own gear thing. Give them time, they are learning and I feel that in Destiny 2 the Crucible will be much more balanced, or even later on if Bungie keeps updating and tweaking guns.

13 RepliesThe majority run around with AR/ Shotgun or AR/Fusion rifle loadout. I almost always inspect the top players in matches to see what they are using....and I am rarely surprised. Maybe once I saw the top guy using a good handcannon.
