I totally agree. This has to be one for me to buy the DLC. If all the time I spent leveling these legendary weapons is wasted, I'm just gonna quit. Sounds petty, but I spent a lot of damn time and effort doing it, and I won't be happy if that's just trashed in one day when new legendary weapons are for sale. I know that I can just go buy better weapons from the tower vendors, but I have spent a lot of time with my current weapons, and I don't want to have to start over. I don't want different stats. I want to keep what I have and take it to the next level. I also think this would go a long way in preventing gear monotony. I can't believe Bungie doesn't see it this way. It's definitely costing them a player. Not that they give a shit...
