Advice for players who plan to play the dlc

If you have exotics that are not upgraded then don't bother wasting time or materials to do so. To keep up with the higher levels in the dlc you will have to trade in your old exotic, an exotic shard, and a buttload of glimmer. You will then get a higher damage or defense version of that same exotic. HOWEVER ALL STATS WILL BE RESET. To reiterate. If you have a maxed icebreaker and trade it in to get the higher damage one then you'll have to level it back up. My point is if you have exotics that you were leveling up, stop. Wait till the dlc drops. Edit: to those smart individuals who don't just take info on the internet as truth. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2014/12/03/stare-into-the-dark-below-new-details-on-the-destiny-expansion.aspx?utm_content=buffer08682&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

  • This sounds absolutely terrible, I've fully upgraded 9 exotic weapons, and now I'll have to start over on all of them? Hell I don't even care that much about the materials, but leveling up exotics is a huge pain in the ass.
