We save our super the whole time and get less glory and kills in order to:
Prevent a wipe when the boss is almost dead
Get teammates up who stupidly died in the middle of a crowd of enemies that will surely kill us so we get you up, die, and waste our super on saving you
Solo a portal if too many people are down we can hold our own
Be the last few alive every time on a bad hard raid run that we inevitably save by having the only two guys left be the warlocks with shields killing all 3 sides of never ending sacrificing minotaurs
Pick the shield back up immediately if we die to save time a little time on the cleanse recharge and prevent a wipe since the other classes always hesitate to run down and grab it
Throw ourselves in front of you when your saying "shit shit shit" and we know you're gunna die so we sacrifice ourself to distract the enemy then super revive and distract it some more til you're healed (I do this with praetorians constantly while defending portals)
Just realize that the sunsinger uses just as many team work strategies as the titan next time you go thinking were for "cheeses only" and I didn't see you complaining when we did that for you either
Edit: lots of replies guys. Also shout out to the guy named Swirve for posting such a blasphemous and incorrect comment that he got more replies than the actual post. Lol Sunbros unite!
Edit 2: thanks to a few argumentative idiots I now have a post with 700 replies lol thanks for being you idiots.

3 RepliesYou don't always need to run fireborn. Going with the perk that reduces damage while radiance is active, and constantly using your super to lob grenades at enemies can be extremely helpful whether it's pve or pvp. Especially if you run a 100% int build with super charging perks on gear. Still.... Im sure no one will call you a selfish asshole if your team wipes a nightfall and you happened to fireborn and revive them during the boss fight.

I play as a Defender Titan, so I can kind of understand.

134 RepliesEdited by swirve: 12/3/2014 1:42:56 PMRez is for noobs who cannot stay alive as they lack skill.... Also skilled players don't need self-revive on a hard raid...
-
Last to die first to save the run!
-
1 ReplyI guess the reason I don't use self res is because I don't go into any activity with a plan that involves dying. If I die, I suffer the consequences... Period. By suffering these consequences (wipe, wasted time, etc), you will force yourself to stay alive and play smarter. Not saying there isn't a place for players who want to use self-res, but for me personally, it's a crutch that I have no need to lean on.

Agree with post.
-
They're so that you can scorch mimotaurs in the nightfall obvs. Max dps!
-
To me it is more simple (although I do not use the rez): It is unique to the sunprancer. No one else has an ability like it. I would never question anyone that does. I personally hate it because I detest looking at that super all yellow and doing nothing about it.
-
So true. I've saved so many teams in Nightfall and a couple raids after the rest of the team wiped. And sometimes my buddies do that for me :-) But "saving" it does kinda suck when everybody less is kicking ass with their super. Especially on Nightfall where you really shouldn't just cut loose ...
-
Whoever thinks it's selfish, must be a sincere dumbass.

Let's not forget the amount of orbs we generate when we use our super

19 RepliesSelf rez is totally useless if you don't die. Which should be the case all the time.
-
I only use self Rez when all of you scrubs die leaving me solo to clean up the mess that you made. Warlock is master over all...
lol, joking here all classes have their perks
-
Nothing pisses me off more than a warlock who goes down, and then self rez's right away. (When I could have invis as my BD and gone and revived them). Then we all die from something silly later and his super is down. What a -blam!- tard.
-
2 Repliesive never heard anyone say self rez is selfish. self rez is in fact though for scrubs who cant stay alive and need a crutch to make them competitive in pve aspects. would i rather any class that can run a whole raid or strike without dying and not using self rez.. or have a team full of self rezzing locks that die 4 times at every checkpoint but not to fear can self rez and come right back. ill take the more skilled player over a self rez lock. and dont use the excuse about not having nothing else to do. try using radiant skin or song of flame or go void walker, learn to stay alive without a crutch.

When I worked on and started to use Sunsinger for the Hard Mode raid I really had to break my habit of blowing my super when crowds were getting a bit big. It was hard to do at first but I picked up on it's importance rather quickly.
-
I use it for Rez, Hold Square, Return to Orbit.

2 RepliesI agree on everything except
the other classes are hesitant to grab it
No hunter is hesitant.

Not to mention saving a return to orbit during the nightfall. My warlock has turned into the "get gear for friends" class this week.
